Abstract: An neonatal care unit comprising: a hood defining an interior space and having a bottom opening, wherein the hood is dimensioned to accommodate a neonate; a sealing skirt extending along at least a portion of a peripheral edge of the bottom opening and configured to engage at least part of a front torso region of a human in a sealing engagement; at least one access opening located about a sidewall of the hood and dimensioned to allow passage of the neonate therethrough; at least two arm ports located about the sidewall and dimensioned to allow passage of a hand therethrough; and at least one port configured to allow passage of a medical conduit therethrough.
