Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and advertising management system configured to provide a plurality of advertisements over a data network and embed said plurality of advertisements into documents to be printed or copied by means of a plurality of users, said system comprising: (a) an application management server configured to enable an advertiser to set up an advertising campaign by enabling said advertiser to define one or more advertisements along with defining at least one advertising criterion, giving rise to one or more predefined rules; and (b) an advertisement management server configured to enable embedding at least one of said one or more advertisements into a document to be printed or copied, according to said one or more predefined rules.
