  • Patent number: 8010977
Abstract: A broadcast receiving apparatus receives a broadcast signal containing video image information representing a video image, pay program identifying information indicating whether or not the video image is a pay program video image, and address information indicating a predetermined communications server, the broadcast signal containing the video image information, the pay program identifying information, and the address information in a predetermined format. The broadcast receiving apparatus has: a display portion displaying the video image; a pay program judging portion judging whether or not the video image information is pay program video image information based on the pay program identifying information; and a recording portion recording the video image information. If the pay program judging portion judges that the video image information is pay program video image information, the recording portion records the address information in addition to the video image information.

  • Publication number: 20080092154
Abstract: A pay program providing system has: a television broadcast reception apparatus receiving video data of a pay program and address data for accessing a predetermined communication server, and displaying the address data on a screen; a communication terminal acquiring the address data displayed on the screen and accessing the communication server; and the communication server, when accessed, communicating with the communication terminal. The television broadcast reception apparatus displays the video data only when predetermined key data is entered. The communication terminal transmits the ID data thereof to the communication server; the communication server transmits the key data to the communication terminal or the like; and the communication terminal acquires the key data and outputs it to the television broadcast reception apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7260376
Abstract: A radio communication device capable of specifying an arbitrary antenna gain even when an antenna having such an arbitrary antenna gain is connected is configured as follows. The radio communication device includes: a first connector for connecting a first antenna having any given antenna gain; a second antenna having a known antenna gain; a reception circuit receiving radio waves; and a control circuit that specifies a relative antenna gain of the first antenna with respect to the second antenna using a first intensity of radio waves received by the reception circuit using the first antenna connected to the first connector and a second intensity of radio waves received by the reception circuit using the second antenna, and controls the reception circuit based on a third intensity of radio waves corrected from the first intensity of radio waves based on the relative antenna gain.

  • Publication number: 20060088022
Abstract: According to the invention, a wireless transfer system including a wireless transfer transmitter that converts a source signal fed thereto into a radiowave and transmits the radiowave and a wireless transfer receiver that receives the radiowave transmitted from the wireless transfer transmitter and converts the radiowave back into the original source signal to produce an external output signal further has a timer circuit, a memory, and a control circuit that creates, by using the timer circuit, information relating to a wireless connection duration between the wireless transfer transmitter and the wireless transfer receiver and stores the created information in the memory. This configuration alleviates limitations on where to enjoy chargeable contents and permits collection of viewing fees through a simple procedure.

  • Publication number: 20050091701
Abstract: A PC includes a processing section and a storage section. The processing section controls operation of the PC, based on connection request data for requesting a connection. The connection request data is transmitted from a receiving device. The storage section stores video to be transmitted to the receiving device. When a connection request data recognizing section of the processing section recognizes the connection request data, a connection is established between the PC and the receiving device that transmitted the connection request data, and a transmission control section transmits a video data file read by a file handling section. In the PC, the processing section includes the connection request data recognizing section and the file handling section. Therefore, even if no instruction is made from the side of the receiving device to the PC by using a remote control, it is possible to transmit video data from the PC to the receiving device, and to reproduce the video data.
