    Abstract: A data processing device which may execute instructions in less time by suppressing the execution of certain instructions which may be unnecessary. The device includes a memory unit, a processing unit for carrying out logic and arithmetic operations and a bit accumulator for holding the result of the logic operation. For example, if the first input to an AND operation is zero, the remaining steps are unnecessary and may be suppressed.
