An information processing apparatus according to one aspect of the present technology identifies a plurality of persons, detects a specific operation performed by the plurality of persons together, and performs processing depending on a combination of the plurality of persons in a case where the specific operation is detected. For example, a task is registered when users in charge of the task perform an operation such as high five or handshake while a task management application is being executed. Also when the task is terminated and completed, the users who perform the task are required to perform the operation such as high five or handshake. The present technology is applicable to a system configured to project a video from a projector and to present information.

    Abstract: To virtually connect an object stored on a computer with real work as if they were physically connected and to make easy the operation of a computer. In one embodiment, visitors to a museum which incorporates a computer system according to the present invention are given a wireless mouse in which an ID is stored corresponding to an object stored in the computer. The visitor simply operates the mouse near a terminal computer provided in each exhibition booth of the museum to display a file corresponding to the ID the monitor of the terminal. The displayed file is under the exclusive control of the visitor to and may include an edit function. In an edit booth, the visitor may finally edit the information recorded in each exhibition booth, print it out, return the wireless mouse, and exit the museum.

    Abstract: A table editor for editing a table of rows and columns using a pointing device and display station. The table editor stores information about the lines and boxes that make up the table. A pointing device is used to select horizontal or vertical lines or a box defined by horizontal and vertical lines for an operation. The user can select a command to insert rows or columns, to delete rows or columns, or to concatenate the contents of two or more boxes. The determination of whether rows or columns are to be acted upon is made from the orientation of the lines selected by the pointing device.
