Abstract: According to the present invention, a production plan forming apparatus is provided with a constitution wherein based on basic data necessary for forming a production plan and state data changing with time stored in a memory unit (11), an event receiving part (2) receives a change of production state as an event, a pseudo event generation part (4) generates a pseudo event (14a) at a time when it should be processed for an event of which times when it occurred and when a production indication is carried out are different, a dispatching part (3) determines a manufacturing apparatus and a production lot in connection with the event from the event (14) or the pseudo event (14a), and a formed production plan is displayed by a display unit (12).

Abstract: The method of planning a production schedule of the present invention has a production order preparing unit which, in response to an order, the completed product stock is allocated to the previous production schedule planned before an order change, and which prepares a production order. The production schedule which is previously planned is allocated to the production order which has been subjected to allocation of the completed product stock to the order, in accordance with information such as the product identification, the quantity, and the delivery time. The allocated portion of the previous production schedule is used as it is in the current production schedule.

Abstract: A production plan generating apparatus, and a method, are provided for generating production plans in sequential chronological order, from an ultimate downstream process in which a final product is produced, to all of the upstream processes required to produce components needed to make the final product. The apparatus includes an input device for inputting initial data including ultimate downstream process data, and a memory for storing the input data, machine data and process data, and a generator for generating a production plan for the final product, and upstream plans for the components and/or sub-components which are required in order to produce the final product.
