    Abstract: There is provided a mine-field shoe which is an inflatable multi-compartment air cushion having when inflated, at least one flexible substantially flat, ground-contacting surface, at least one rigid tread member attachable to an upper surface of the air cushion, and means for attaching the mine-field shoe to a boot. Each of the compartments of said air cushion communicates with at least one other compartment.
