Abstract: The disclosed calibration method includes a calibration phantom positioned on an adjustable table on the surface of a mechanical couch, with the phantom's centre at an estimated location for the iso-centre of a radio therapy treatment apparatus. The calibration phantom is then irradiated using the apparatus, and the relative location of the center of the calibration phantom and the iso-centre of the apparatus is determined by analyzing images of the irradiation of the calibration phantom. The calibration phantom is then repositioned by the mechanical couch applying an offset corresponding to the determined relative location of the centre of the calibration phantom and the iso-centre of the apparatus to the calibration phantom. Images of the relocated calibration phantom are obtained, to which the offset has been applied, and the obtained images are processed to set the co-ordinate system of a stereoscopic camera system relative to the iso-centre of the apparatus.

Abstract: A three-dimensional print head apparatus may include a securing mechanism, a hopper, a nozzle, a heating system, and a fume extraction system. The securing mechanism may be adapted to secure to a wrist joint of a robotic arm. The hopper may have a cavity and a lower aperture and may be secured to the securing mechanism. The nozzle may have an upper aperture and a lower aperture. The heating system may be positioned along the barrel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for aiding in the removal of one or more test specimens from a build plate. The system includes an anchor portion disposed separate from the build plate. The anchor portion may include one or more attachment points for receiving and attaching one more stretchable bands. The stretchable bands may be sized to be stretched from each of the one or more specimens to the one or more of the attachment points. In this manner, a pulling force may be imparted on each test specimen, and the test specimen is moved away from the build plate during its removal. The system may be utilized particularly in conjunction with EDM and removing the test specimens using an EDM wire.

Abstract: A beet washing system features a defoamer dosage controller having a signal processor configured to receive signaling containing information about a volumetric percent of entrained air in a process water used for washing beets; and determine corresponding signaling containing information to control a dosage of defoamer provided to the process water to regulate the amount of foam in the process water used for washing the beets.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a structure having a fire resistance rated, area separation wall including: a first building unit; a second building unit; and a two- hour fire resistance rated, area separation wall having only outer membranes. In the preferred embodiment, the two-hour fire resistance rated, area separation wall includes: (a) an interior support structure; (b) only an outer membrane on each side of the interior support structure; and (c) a substantially organic thermal insulation barrier between the outer membranes. Also, in the preferred embodiment, the structure having a fire resistance rated, area separation wall includes a tying structure connecting the fire resistance rated, area separation wall to the first unit and the second unit.
