Abstract: A method and device related to medicine is provided. The device for assessing regional blood circulation comprises an ultrasonic instrument for measuring blood flow and a pulse oximeter with two light-emitting diodes. The acoustic heads of the sensors are shaped and designed taking into account the anatomical characteristics of the area being investigated. When working with a microcirculatory section of tissue, a software unit “Micro” is used. Data are displayed on a screen. The device permits highly accurate monitoring of linear and volumetric blood flow rates, the resistivity index and the pulsatility index, a dopplergram, a plethysmogram and the heart rate.
