  • Patent number: 9209100
Abstract: A housing for a device operated under at least one of a vacuum and a protective gas includes at least one housing interior space, at least one receiving region configured to receive at least one getter material, and a connection between the at least one housing interior space and the at least one receiving region. The connection includes a particle-impervious bond.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 14, 2010
Date of Patent: December 8, 2015
Assignee: GSI HELMHOLTZZENTRUM FUER SCHWERIONENFORSCHUNG GMBH
Inventors: Tobias Engert, Ivan Kojouharov, Juergen Gerl
  • Patent number: 9027823
Abstract: A workpiece arrangement includes at least two join regions of at least one workpiece that are joined together by a material-to-material connection seam. The material-to-material connection seam covers only a portion of a first of the at least two join regions. A thermal insulation device is disposed in an area of the material-to-material connection seam and corresponds to the first of the at least two join regions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 27, 2009
Date of Patent: May 12, 2015
Assignee: GSI Helmholtzzentrum fuer Schwerionenforschung GmbH

  • Patent number: 7312460
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of detecting and localizing gamma radiation from a target source in the possible presence of background gamma radiation, said method comprising the steps of: a) detecting the directional intensity distribution of gamma rays with respect to a preferred direction, b) analysing the direction dependence, correcting for efficiency and solid angle of the detection means, c) determining the amount and spatial distribution of background radiation, d) determining the background contribution of the intensity measured in the preferred direction from the amount and spatial distribution of background radiation, e) determining the strength of gamma radiation in a preferred direction by subtracting from the intensity measured in the preferred direction any background contribution from non preferred directions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 10, 2005
Date of Patent: December 25, 2007
Assignee: GFE Gesselschaft fur Forschungsund Entwicklungsservice mbH
