  • Patent number: 11963003
Abstract: The invention concerns a sensing device (1) configured to selectively operate in: a manufacturing mode, an unprovisioned mode, a provisioned mode and an end-of-life mode. In the manufacturing mode, the electronic circuit (14) permanently stores a unique code (149) in a storage medium (12), while in the unprovisioned mode, the electronic circuit (14) waits for a provisioning code (31) for generating a private and a public key (143). In the provisioned mode, the electronic circuit (14) signs a timestamp (146) provided by a time-keeping unit (13) and data (110) provided by a sensing unit. The collected data (110), the timestamp (146), the digital signature (144) and the public key (143) is then transmitted. In the end-of-life mode, the electronic circuit (14) permanently erases the private key.

  • Publication number: 20220027583
Abstract: The invention concerns a RFID tag (1) configured to transmit a predetermined code (3K) as a RF backscattered radiation (2) in response to an impinging RF signal (41). The RFID tag (1) is configured to react to an impinging signal at a predetermined reference frequency (23) with a reference backscattered signal (2R). The RFID tag (1) is also configured and to react to an impinging signal (41) at any of a group of transmission frequencies (21, 22) with coding backscattered signals (2F-G) whose amplitudes (20A, 20B) relative to the amplitude (20R) of the reference backscattered signal define the code (3K). The invention further concerns a RFID reader (4), a kit (5) and a method for transmitting a message from a device (1) to a reader (4) as a RF backscattered radiation (2) in response to an impinging RF signal (41).
