Abstract: Cost-effective and efficient filtration technology is disclosed by which airborne pollution and contaminants are significantly removed from air circulated through furnaces and/or air conditioning systems in residential dwellings. Filters comprising both an anti-microbial ultra-violet lamp, for irradiation of airborne viruses and bacteria, and an electrostatic filter pad for trapping and holding other airborne particles are disclosed.
