Abstract: A chair for hypnotherapy of a patient suffering from a mental or physical disorder caused by stress, wherein as the position of the chair and consequently that of the patient seated therein are changed alternately between a first position wherein he is relaxed sitting upright and a second position wherein he is tensioned having the upper half of his body thrown back, he is hypnotized by the help of verbal suggestions and mechanical stimuli simultaneously given and applied to him. While he is in the state of hypnosis, verbal suggestions are given to him so as to remove from his subconsciousness those factors that are causing the disorder.
