  • Patent number: 7106368
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a method of reducing flicker noises in an X-Y address type solid-state image pickup device for reducing flicker noises generated by a fluorescent light for room illumination when taking a picture in door. A configuration is provided in which signal storage time ts resulting in no flicker noise under a fluorescent lamp having an emission frequency of 120 Hz is preset (step S1); average luminance of image data is calculated for each frame in a predetermined average luminance detection area allocated in the frame (step S2); a difference in average luminance is calculated between frames (step S3); and the signal storage time ts is changed based on the difference in luminance (steps S4, S5 and S6).

  • Patent number: 6554343
Abstract: A safety seat for a baby including a baby container, a mounting rod and a baby restraint pad. The baby container is made of a shell and a wire frame. The shell is an elastic material, which is either net-like or opaque. The wire frame is covered by the elastic material and forms the shell into a three-dimensional curved triangular shape with an interior volume for holding a baby. The shape has a rectangular base, parabolic sides and curved end pieces. The mounting rod connects to the baby container along a top edge of the triangular shape so as to form a single axis of rotation for swinging the container. The mounting rod also attaches to a support frame of a motor vehicle, stroller or rocker. The baby restraint pad has a rectangular base corresponding to the base of the baby container so that the pad can be placed in an interior volume of the baby container. The baby restraint pad also has stabilizer blocks longitudinally spaced on the top surface of the pad so as to securely hold a baby when swinging.

  • Patent number: 6472699
Abstract: A photoelectric transducer comprises elements including P- and N-type regions to perform photoelectric conversion using photovoltaic effect of the P-N junction, and MOS transistors disposed around each element. A P-type well on which the MOS transistors are formed, has a higher impurity concentration than the P-type region. The P-type region has an impurity concentration distribution in which the concentration first increases gradually in the direction toward the interior, and then decreases gradually after a predetermined point of depth, and the maximum peak value of the concentration at the predetermined point is lower than the maximum peak value of the concentration of the P-type well. It becomes possible to improve sensitivity and reduce leakage current, besides, to realize a considerable reduction in cross talk with an adjacent pixel. A high-performance and highly-reliable photoelectric transducer can be obtained thus.

  • Patent number: 5652291
Abstract: An aqueous dispersion containing urethane vinyl composite resin which exhibits superior dispersability properties. The composite resin is obtained by graft polymerizing vinyl monomers with dispersable polyurethane. The polyurethane exhibits an acid value of at least 20. The dispersable polyurethane is obtained by reacting a urethane prepolymer having isocyanate groups at its end with a polyol compound obtained by the semi-esterification of polycarboxylic acid with benzene rings or its anhydride with trimethylol ethane or trimethylol propane. The urethane prepolymer is produced by reacting polyol compounds with poly-isocyanate compounds and ranges in molecular weight of from about 800 to 3000.
