  • Patent number: 5566632
Abstract: A sewing machine arrangement comprises a sewing machine, a motor for driving a spindle, and a motor for operating a two-axis drive mechanism. When the two-axis drive mechanism is driven at a maximum speed, processing is executed in which a speed (t) slower than the maximum speed is inserted by a program. Further, drive current flowing through the motor for driving the two-axis drive mechanism is set. A phase exciting method of a stepping motor is switched.

  • Patent number: 5427040
Abstract: In a method of and an apparatus for drivingly controlling an automatic sewing machine, the time for which a work holding unit is drivingly processed every seam lengths, the time from start of the drive processing of the work holding unit to the time at which the work holding unit starts movement, and the time of movement of the work holding unit are set whereby a drive signal of the work holding unit is controlled such that the work holding unit starts movement and is terminated in movement during a period for which a needle passes through a sewing material. Decision of the drive signal of the work holding unit is executed by a program with respect to all sewing speeds for all sewing lengths.

  • Patent number: 5372078
Abstract: An automatic sewing machine control device in which the movement of the presser unit which takes place while the thread take-up lever moves from the bottom dead point to the top dead point is minimized thereby to increase the tension of the upper thread. Even when the load weight applied to a bi-axial drive mechanism increases or the thickness of the sewing material changes, excellent seams can be formed. In a control device for an automatic sewing machine, a start timing unit is provided which starts the bi-axial drive mechanism with respective timing modes. A plurality of drive control data for a drive motor and stepping motors are stored in memory unit which correspond to the load weights applied to the bi-axial drive mechanism and the thicknesses of materials to be sewed.

  • Patent number: 5271344
Abstract: A control method and apparatus for controlling an automatic sewing machine having a plurality of memory units different in kind to record sewing patterns in which a particular one of these memory units is automatically selected, and an electric power supply for supplying power for an initial period of time upon occurrence of an electric power interruption is provided. The sewing operation may be externally controlled. The control method and the device for practicing the method can provide an automatic sewing machine which provides interchangeability of software and high reliability, and which can be readily operated on an automation line.

  • Patent number: 4837673
Abstract: An input device for an automatic sewing machine having an easel for tracing a pattern and numeric and function keys. A liquid crystal display prompts the operator to select an input mode and then to input numerical data. The selection and numerical input is performed by touching a cursor pen to selected ones of the keys. The liquid crystal displays the inputted data.

  • Patent number: 4635574
Abstract: An automatic sewing apparatus in which automatic sewing operations can be performed merely upon placing cassettes into which have been loaded cloth pieces to be sewn onto a first carrier unit and in which a variety of sewing operations can be performed. The apparatus includes plural sewing machines, each having a table movable according to a programmed sewing pattern, with the cassettes being receivable on this table. The first carrier units transport the cassettes in a predetermined direction, while second carrier units transport the cassettes received from the first carrier unit to corresponding ones of the sewing machines. The various sewing machines perform predetermined designated sewing operations on the cloth pieces held in the cassettes.
