  • Patent number: 11737061
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network may manage and configure narrow bandwidth parts (NBWPs) for reduced capability user equipment (UEs) based on data priorities, load conditions, etc. For example, in some cases, a NBWP may be associated with some active time interval (e.g., or a UE may be able to utilize a NBWP for some active time interval). A base station may configure periodic NBWPs (e.g., where NBWPs may be active in time according to some periodicity and start time), semi-persistent NBWPs (e.g., where explicit NBWP activation indications and NBWP deactivation indications may be sent by the base station), aperiodic NBWPs (e.g., where the base station may activate a NBWP for some signaled active time interval), or some combination thereof. Additionally or alternatively, a network may support on-demand NBWP activation, timer (e.g., inactivity timer) based deactivation of NBWPs, etc.

  • Patent number: 11711775
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may identify an energy per resource element (EPRE) ratio between a synchronization signal block (SSB) symbol containing a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and an SSB symbol containing a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), or both, based on an operating band for the UE, a bandwidth of the SSB symbol containing the PSS and the SSB symbol containing the SSB, the PBCH, or both. The EPRE ratio may be based on maximum regulatory equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) limits, maximum regulatory power spectral density (PSD) limits for the band, or both. The EPRE ratios may be different for different SSB symbols, when different SSB symbols have different bandwidths. A base station may configure and transmit, and a UE may receive, the SSB according to the identified EPRE ratio.

  • Patent number: 11711806
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for using downlink control information (DCI) to avoid hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identifier (ID) conflicts in scenarios where multiple semi persistently scheduled (SPS) configurations share the same pool of HARQ process IDs are provided. One example technique involves a user equipment (UE) receiving an indication of a plurality of SPS configurations, each SPS configuration allocating the UE with a set of SPS occasions for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions. Information for resolving a conflict between a first HARQ process ID associated with a first SPS occasion of a first of the plurality of SPS configurations and a second HARQ process ID associated with a second SPS occasion of a second of the plurality of SPS configurations is received. The first SPS occasion occurs prior to the second SPS occasion. The conflict is resolved based on the information.
