    Abstract: A method of and apparatus for displaying a plurality of sub-frame images picked up with solid state image pickup devices on the screen of a single television monitor. In reading image pickup signals from a plurality of solid state image pickup devices, the image pickup signals are added and read out for a plurality of lines, and in the horizontal direction read out within a period of one optional number-th of the effective horizontal scan period, at readout timings suitable for each solid state image pickup device in the vertical and horizontal directions.
