  • Publication number: 20240075383
Abstract: At a position including coordinates of an input start possible point on a first display, an image indicating the input start possible point is displayed, and at a position including coordinates of an input target point on a second display, an image indicating the input target point is displayed. Then, if a coordinate input to the first display includes an input to a position including the coordinates of the input start possible point, and a coordinate input to the second display includes an input to a position including the coordinates of the input target point, based on trajectories of coordinates of the coordinate inputs to the first display and the second display, a positional relationship between the first display and the second display is determined.

  • Patent number: 6989832
Abstract: In the case of displaying a moving picture obtained by photographing an object moving in a virtual three dimensional field by the use of a virtual camera, behavior of the object is made to be grasped more easily from the moving picture displayed on a display screen of a display device. A camera setup point 606, which is a setup point of the virtual camera 609, is settled so that the camera setup point 606 approaches a camera chasing point 604 settled to the rear of a position 602 on a line which passes through the position 602 of the object 601 and parallel with a moving direction of the object, from a camera setup point 606? obtained at least in the last calculation.

  • Patent number: 6762746
Abstract: Disclosed is an entertainment apparatus in which even an unskilled player can enjoy a flight simulation, a drive simulation or the like satisfactorily. Based on a signal depending on coordinate values on X-Y coordinate decided by a manipulation applied to manipulation sticks 31a and 32a, the signal being outputted from the controller 20, a moving direction of a controlled object 601 is determined. When the coordinate value is within specified ranges, the moving direction of the object 601 is determined so that the object 601 is allowed to make a sharp turn flight.

  • Patent number: 6670957
Abstract: When a moving picture obtained by photographing a controlled object moving in a virtual three dimensional field by a virtual camera is displayed, an entertainment apparatus is designed so that a desired feeling of speed can be acquired from the moving picture displayed on a display screen. A positional relation in the three dimensional field between the controlled object and the virtual camera is determined so that the virtual camera moves farther from the controlled object according to a moving speed of the controlled object in the three dimensional field.

  • Patent number: 6639591
Abstract: More reality is given to weather phenomena reflected on an image displayed on a screen of a display unit and on operability of an operatable object. A global weather deciding part 901 decides weather in each global area obtained by dividing the whole map of a virtual world into a plurality of global areas. The weather in the global area in question is decided at intervals of a first time, in accordance with a preset behavior model and considering area information of each global area in advance. A local weather deciding part 902 decides weather in each local area obtained by dividing each global area into a plurality of local areas. The weather in the local area in question is decided at intervals of a second time, which is shorter than the first time, in accordance with the weather of the global area concerned decided by the global weather deciding part 901, and considering area information of each local area.

  • Patent number: 6488279
Abstract: The invention provides a discharge mechanism of a sheet which can quickly and securely discharge a sheet without deformation. A discharge mechanism is provided at an end of a transfer path and discharging the paper to a tray is constituted by a pair of discharge rollers and a profiling pusher integrally rotating with the discharge roller. A sponge-like body portion and a plurality of projections, integrally formed on a peripheral surface thereof, are formed in the profiling pusher. The protrusion is brought into contact with a surface of the sheet and deformed in a profiling manner so as to allow the sheet to pass therethrough. When the rear end of the sheet leaves the nip, the deformation of the projection is restored and engaged with the rear end of the sheet, thereby forcibly pushing out the sheet.

  • Patent number: 5305114
Abstract: An electronic blackboard apparatus, which reads a writing on a writing sheet fitted on a blackboard framework and which electronically copies the writing onto a recording medium. The apparatus includes a blackboard framework foldable together with the writing sheet, and a stand supporting the blackboard framework and a copying device. The stand is reducible in size while supporting the blackboard framework and the writing sheet in their folded position and the copying device. The length of the stand is reducible after the blackboard framework and the writing sheet have been folded to reduce their lengths. The blackboard framework and the writing sheet which have been folded are overturned into a space between opposite legs of the stand and the legs are then closed.
