  • Patent number: 6304532
Abstract: A disk reproducing apparatus is provided which can cope with the intermittent access due to track jump in the conventional CD reproducing system and which can reproduce data at N times the normal speed and produce the reproduced data at the normal speed. The disk reproducing apparatus includes a memory for storing the data and time information reproduced from the disk to match with each other, another external memory, a detection circuit detecting the time difference between the finally produced output data and the data which is being accessed, and a control circuit detecting the overflow/underflow of the external memory and controlling it to be written. The construction can absorb the time difference between the system operation speed and data output speed even during an intermittent access so that continuous data can be produced.

  • Patent number: 5442612
Abstract: A digital signal reproduction device including a data strobe circuit high in margin against noise and rapid in recovery from dropout of data and a digital signal reproduction method performed in such device. The digital signal reproduction device includes a pair of data strobe circuits and a switching circuit for selecting one of the outputs of the pair of data strobe circuits, and a circuit for generating from the received signal a signal to control the switching circuit. The data strobe circuits ensure high reliability of the received signal against noise and a short time from dropout of the received signal to acquisition of a reproduction clock. The data strobe circuit is selectable which is suitable for the reproduction state of the reproduced signal.

  • Patent number: 4581810
Abstract: A tool magazine is divided into four regions respectively containing substantially the same number of tool pots. When a designated tool is contained in a first or fourth region the magazine is rotated in the clockwise direction to index the designated tool to a tool exchange position, whereas when the designated tool is contained in a second or third region the magazine is rotated in the counterclockwise direction. Designation of a desired tool, the direction of rotation of the magazine and number of steps of the magazine are controlled by a computer including a memory having a comparison table written with correspondences between tool numbers and absolute tool pot numbers. According to a modified embodiment, the tool magazine is provided with two tool exchange positions between adjacent regions and on one side thereof, and the tool exchanger is selectively moved to either one of the tool exchange positions.
