  • Patent number: 4852207
Abstract: The mop squeezer of the invention provides an efficient means to squeeze a rinsed mop yarns to give a water content and distribution thereof most suitable in respect of the working efficiency of mopping of large building floors. The mop squeezer comprises a rotatable movable roller supported - by a pair of hand lever-operated swingable arms and an approximately cylindrical squeezer plate facing the movable roller. Characteristically, the distance from the surface of the squeezer plate to the shaft supporting the swingable arms is not uniform but smallest at the half height or below of the squeezer plate increasing downwardly and upwardly to be 105% to 140% of the smallest distance at the upper end of the squeezing plate.

  • Patent number: 4142984
Abstract: A process for improving the physical properties of granular detergents comprises making fine particles of calcium sulfite adhere uniformly onto the surface of the granular detergent. The amount of said calcium sulfite particles to be thus applied is in the range of from about 0.5 to about 5 wt.% relative to the granular detergent, and about 70 wt.% or less of this amount may be replaced with fine particles of alumino silicate. The applicable average particle diameter of calcium sulfite to be made to adhere onto granular detergent is less than about 4 .mu. and that of aluminosilicate is less than about 5 .mu..

  • Patent number: 4129511
Abstract: A method of manufacturing granular detergents containing 15-40% of surface active agent, 5-20% of sodium silicate and 0.5-5% of aluminosilicate on a dry weight basis, which comprises subjecting a detergent slurry and an aluminosilicate slurry to spray-drying separately within the same drying space. The granular detergent thus manufactured possesses improved fluidity as well as reduced degree of hygrocaking property and compression-caking property. Incorporation in the aluminosilicate slurry with a small amount of an inflating agent will provide a granular detergent which is further improved in fluidity, hygrocaking property and compression-caking property.

  • Patent number: 4028282
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing granular detergents having good biodegradability, mildness to the skin, an appropriate breaking strength of the granules, a desired bulk density and a satisfactory free-flowability, by heating a detergent slurry and atomizing it in an ambient or cold atmosphere, wherein the detergent slurry employed is a mixture consisting of 10 to 30 wt.% of olefin sulfonate having 10 to 22 carbon atoms, 60 to 90 wt.% of sodium carbonate, sodium silicate and water and 0 to 30 wt.% of other well-known additives, and the ratio of said sodium carbonate, sodium silicate and water is in a specific range.
