    Abstract: A ball joint comprises a socket having a wall defining a socket hole, and a ball stud having a ball portion at one end thereof. The ball portion is received within the socket hole for pivotal movement by means of a bearing intervening between the ball and the wall of the socket. The bearing is provided with a plurality of protrusions formed in the outer circumferential surface thereof, the circumferential surface being in contact with the surface of the wall of the socket. The protrusions having a band or dot-shaped configuration.
