    Abstract: A bird cage and trap wherein a bird, upon entering cage, steps upon a pivotal grate which is attached to a triggering means which is, in turn, supporting open a trap door. Weight of bird causes the grate to pivot and triggers the trap door. The trap door can also be locked open using the same triggering means positioned in a slightly different manner.
