    Abstract: Devices to control a movement or instrument function of a robotic arm of a surgical robotic system include a first foot pedal with a button, a second foot pedal with a button, and a connector. The connector includes a first and second end and a top and bottom side. The top side of the first end is attached to a bottom side of the button of the first foot pedal, and the second end is configured to be positioned under a bottom side of the button of a second foot pedal to interlock the first foot pedal with the second foot pedal. When a force moves the button of the second foot pedal to a position, the button of the second foot pedal moves the connector which subsequently moves the button of the first foot pedal to an activation position to send an input signal to a surgical console.

    Abstract: An electronic device may include a display, a cover layer overlapping the display, and a housing have housing sidewalls. An encapsulant material may surround at least part of the display and may be used to couple the cover layer to the housing sidewalls. A rigid outer material having a higher elastic modulus than the encapsulant material may also be used to couple the cover layer to the housing sidewalls. The rigid outer material may be a molded material that surrounds an outer perimeter of the encapsulant, or the rigid outer material may be a metal or plastic frame member having a C-shaped cross-section or other geometry. The display may overlap the housing sidewall. The encapsulant may absorb mechanical stresses on the cover layer to protect the display, whereas the rigid outer material may transfer mechanical stresses on the cover layer to the housing.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a radiofrequency (RF) treatment are provided. In some embodiments, the method can include: performing, using a programmable controller, at least the following functions of: measuring an electrical energy flow through a grounding pad that is in contact with at least a portion of skin of a subject's skin; determining, based on the measured electrical energy flow, a heating factor that represents a measure of heat absorbed by the subject over a period of time in response to treatment of the subject with an electrical radiofrequency probe; and comparing the heating factor to a predetermined threshold. In response to determining from the comparison that the heating factor is approaching or greater than the predetermined threshold value, the method can include disabling the radiofrequency generator or changing the electrical energy flow such that the controller regulates the electrical energy flow using a closed loop feedback system.

In some embodiments, the pump assembly and at least one pump head are driven by at least one respective motor, where the at least one pump head is coupled to tubing for delivering a cooling fluid to a medical probe assembly. The at least one pump head is configured to pump the cooling fluid through the tubing for the cooled radiofrequency treatment procedure. The system can also include a programmable controller operatively connective to the pump assembly and configured to control the pump assembly, and one or more pump function sensors for sensing operation parameters associated with the pump assembly and communicating the pump operation parameters to the controller. The controller can determine that the pump assembly is operating properly based on the operation parameters and can adjust the operation of the motor or output an alert.

A device that includes a wrap and a method of delivering radiofrequency ablation energy to a volume of tissue via the device are also described.
