  • Patent number: 4523078
Abstract: A portable electrically heated warming container arrangement for transporting infusions or the like in rescue vehicles includes a thermally insulated case having a flat bottom and an electric heater for heating a plurality of infusion containers carried in the case. A electrical connector plug for detachably connecting the electric heater to the rescue vehicle power supply is provided in the flat bottom of the case and is recessed so as to the flush with the flat bottom. During transport, the case is positioned within a transport casing secured to a wall of the rescue vehicle. The casing has a flat bottom and low side walls defining an upwardly open receiving space snugly surrounding the lower portion of the case for securing the case against sliding and tipping.

  • Patent number: 4350471
Abstract: The roof rack 1 consists of a load carrying part 13 which is movable between a transport position above the roof 5 of a vehicle and a loading position at one side of, or at the rear of, the vehicle. The load carrying part 13 is pivotally mounted 14 to a carriage 9 which is adapted to slide in guides 7, 7' of a support frame 6, 3, 7, 7' which is fixed to the rain channel 4 of the vehicle roof. The movement of the load carrying part between the transport and loading positions is thus a combination of pivotal movement at the hinges 14 and displacement of the carriage 9 in the guides 7, 7'. Further guide members 17 which curve around the edge of the vehicle roof are usefully provided to help control the movement of the load carrying part.

  • Patent number: 4339146
Abstract: A medically equipped vehicle has a cabin adapted to accommodate medical apparatus such as infusion flasks and respirators. These items of medical apparatus are located in containers 11, 12 which are pivotally fastened at 13 to a ceiling or associated part of the cabin. When not in use the apparatus can thus be stowed in an enclosed space defined between the container and the ceiling. The container can be pivoted downwardly to a hanging position in which the enclosed apparatus is readily accessible. To keep blood plasma and the like at the required temperature a heating device 41 or, a heat exchanger which can be used both for cooling and heating purposes, is incorporated in the container. The container is usefully of thermally insulated construction. Cables and lines necessary for the respirators and for infusion purposes are conveniently connected to the associated apparatus ready for use.
