    Abstract: A system and method for providing resilient digital telephony services for wireless communication devices are disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of wireless communication devices and a border gateway serving a communications network that is configured to communicate with the wireless communication devices. At least two telephony servers are located in the communications network. The servers are configured to communicate with at least a portion of the wireless communication devices. A heartbeat module is configured to communicate heartbeat signals between the border gateway and the telephony servers and redirect service in the event of a server failure.
