  • Patent number: 11338785
Abstract: A method may include receiving, via a processor, a request to enable movement of a rotor. The method may involve sending a first signal to a mechanical relay system in response to receiving the request, such that the second signal may cause a mechanical relay to close. The mechanical relay system is configured to couple a first conductor to an EM brake. The method may also include sending a second signal to a solid-state relay system after sending the first signal to the mechanical relay system, such that the second signal may cause a solid-state relay to close. The solid-state relay system may couple a second conductor to the EM brake, such that the EM brake may open after receiving power via the first conductor and the second conductor.

  • Patent number: 11324659
Abstract: A fitting assembly for installation in an opening in a tub shell wall of a bathing installation tub. A resilient grommet is sized to be inserted into the opening and has an interior peripheral recess defined in a wall portion, having a recess cross-sectional configuration. A fitting body has a protruding external rib having a rib cross-sectional configuration complimentary to the recess cross-sectional configuration, the rib positioned on the fitting body so that when the fitting body is inserted into the grommet, the rib is received into the recess on the grommet. The grommet and fitting are configured such that the recess and the rib are positioned behind the back surface of the shell wall when installed in the opening, and the grommet is compressed by the edge of the shell opening and pushed outwardly by the rib to lock the fitting into the shell opening.

  • Publication number: 20220137662
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a user interface display panel includes a top or cover glass layer which extends to the perimeter of the panel housing. A touch-sensitive display layer is adhered to the bottom surface of cover glass layer to form a touch sensitive display assembly and is just smaller in area than that of the cover glass layer to provide a peripheral lip region for adherence to a waterproof gasket to bond the cover glass and display layer to the housing structure. The display layer is supported above the surface of the tub wall. The arrangement results in an active touch-sensitive display area significantly larger than display areas provided in the past by interface panels.

  • Patent number: 11298721
Abstract: An inside surface of a hose for use with liquid-cooled cooling plate assemblies and other applications that contain copper (Cu) components is pre-treated with a hydrophobic coating to reduce depletion of a copper corrosion inhibitor (e.g., benzotriazole (BTA)) dissolved in a liquid coolant (e.g., deionized water) that flows through the hose. Exemplary hydrophobic coatings include, but are not limited to, polydialkylsiloxanes such as polydimethylsiloxanes. In one embodiment, a multilayer hose is immersed in a solution containing hydrophobizing siloxane monomers dissolved in a solvent. The coated multilayer hose is then dried to evaporate the solvent. As the solvent evaporates, the siloxane monomers bind together to form the hydrophobic coating. In some embodiments, one or more hoses each provided with a hydrophobic coating interconnect liquid-coolant cooling system components (e.g.

  • Patent number: 11296640
Abstract: Control circuitry of a motor drive provides commands for operation of power circuitry in cooperation with peripheral circuits and devices, such as converters, inverters, feedback precharge circuits, feedback devices, interfaces, and so forth. The communications with the devices is handled by fiber optic communications circuitry that implements a flexible scheme of dynamic interval communication depending upon the capabilities and design of the peripheral circuit or device. The communication may be in accordance with a plurality of predetermined schemes, each having different data transfer rates, data allocations, and so forth. The schemes may each set communications protocols (e.g., timing) over a high speed interface between the fiber optic communications circuitry on one side and over fiber optic cables to the peripherals on another side.

  • Publication number: 20220026241
Abstract: A tamper detection apparatus includes a switch and a tamper detection circuit with a non-volatile memory in an industrial product enclosure. In response to the switch detecting a door or panel of an industrial product enclosure being open when an electronic component or system in the enclosure is unpowered, the tamper detection circuit stores a tamper event code in the non-volatile memory. After the electronic component or system is powered, a system processor obtains the tamper event code from the tamper detection circuit and refrains from operating a machine or process pending reset of the industrial product by a user.
