The present invention may include receiving an access request to a specified location associated with a server computer. The present invention may also include determining that the received access request has the cookie corresponding with the specified location. The present invention may also include receiving a last refresh time from the cookie. The present invention may then include determining the session status based on the retrieved last refresh time, a current request time, a refresh interval, and an overdue value.

Abstract: A method of modifying an existing valve assembly has the step of placing a supplemental sleeve within a housing. The housing has a housing inlet window and a housing outlet window, and the supplemental sleeve has a sleeve inlet window and a sleeve outlet window. The method includes the step of placing an existing piston/sleeve set within the supplemental sleeve. A spool valve is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to transfer tapes, segmented and non-segmented which include at least one graphics layer. The transfer tapes include a removable template layer, a transfer layer which includes a backfill layer, having at least one first graphics layer, and an adhesive layer. Segmented transfer tapes further at least one transferable segment, at least one non-transferable segment in the segmented transfer tape and include at least one kerf. The present disclosure also provides optical assemblies, e.g. micro-optical assemblies, which may be fabricated from the transfer tapes which include at least one graphics layer. The present disclosure also provides methods of forming the transfer tapes and methods of making the micro optical assemblies.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a computer system updates a system including a plurality of sever instances, and includes at least one processor. The computer system determines a level of configuration for each operating server instance. One or more sets of operational features are added to the system based on a comparison between the determined levels of configuration of the operating server instances and minimum levels of configuration associated with the one or more sets of operational features. Server operations are performed and one or more corresponding sets of operational features are applied to the server operations in response to the addition of those corresponding sets of operational features to the system. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for updating a system including a plurality of server instances in substantially the same manner described above.

Abstract: An electro-mechanical system has a solenoid with a plunger received in a housing chamber. A plunger portion extends outwardly of the housing. There is at least one coil, and a control for the at least one coil. The control selectively applies a first higher level current to the coil to move the plunger to an actuated position relative to the housing. The control is operable to stop the supply of first high level current to the at least one coil and allow the plunger to move to an un-actuated position. The control is operable to supply a partial power current to the at least one coil when in said un-actuated position to resist movement of the plunger. A method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method of aircraft fuel distribution includes selecting a longitudinal center of gravity and predicting a rate of change of the center of gravity during flight. Fuel is located in a tail fin tank of a vertical tail fin of the aircraft, and is transferred from the tail fin tank forward at a predetermined transfer rate to counteract the predicted rate of change thereby maintaining the selected center of gravity. An aircraft fuel distribution system includes a center main fuel tank, a tail fin tank and a tail fin fuel pump to pump fuel between the tail fin tank and the center main fuel tank. An electronic controller operates the tail fin fuel pump such that fuel is flowed between the tail fin tank and the center main fuel tank at a predetermined transfer rate to maintain automatically an optimal position of a longitudinal center of gravity of the aircraft.

Abstract: A nanostructured article having a first layer with a nanostructured surface is described. The nanostructured surface includes a plurality of pillars extending from a base surface of the first layer. The pillars have an average height greater than an average lateral dimension of the pillars. An average center-to-center spacing between pillars is no more than 2000 nm. The average lateral dimension is no less than 50 nm. Each pillar in the plurality of pillars has at least a lower portion and an upper portion where the lower portion is between the upper portion and the base surface, and the upper and lower portions have differing compositions. The nanostructured article includes a second layer disposed over the plurality of pillars and extending continuously to the base surface.

Abstract: Curable, coatable compositions include silane surface-treated inorganic nanoparticles with a high refractive index, and a curable reaction mixture. The curable reaction mixture includes a first (meth)acrylate monomer comprising a high refractive index (meth)acrylate monomer with a refractive index of 1.6 or higher, a second (meth)acrylate monomer comprising a lower refractive index (meth)acrylate monomer with a refractive index of less than 1.6, and at least one initiator. Cured optical coatings prepared from the compositions are optically clear, having a visible light transmission of at least 88% and a haze of 5% or less, and have a refractive index of at least 1.78, and are capable of passing a 10 millimeter mandrel flexibility test.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to segmented transfer tapes useful in the transfer of only a portion of the segments of the transfer tapes and methods of making thereof. The segmented transfer tapes include a removable template layer having a structured surface; a transfer layer comprising a backfill layer, wherein the backfill layer has a structured first major surface, and an adhesive layer; at least one transferable segment formed in the transfer layer; at least one non-transferable segment formed in the transfer layer, the at least one non-transferable segment includes an adhesive surface, wherein a passivating layer is disposed on at least a portion of the adhesive surface of the at least one non-transferrable segment; and at least one kerf extending from the first major surface of the adhesive layer and into at least a portion of the removable template layer. The present disclosure also provides micro-optical assemblies and methods of making micro-optical assemblies from the segmented transfer tapes.

A method for restricting flow in an ecology fuel return system includes recovering fuel from engine components, communicating the fuel to an inlet of a fuel tank, pumping the fuel from an outlet of fuel tank to an inlet of an engine when a float within tank unoccludes the outlet of the fuel tank, and restricting fluid flow from tank outlet to an ejector pump with a flow restricting orifice and/or a hydraulic fuse.
