  • Patent number: 11691257
Abstract: A cap removal device is adapted to remove end caps from water pump devices. The cap removal device has a cap remover that is adapted to be secured to the end caps of pressure vessels. The cap removal device further has a honed tube that is adapted to stabilize the cap removal device and the end cap during removal of the end cap thereby preventing cross-threading. The cap removal device also has a puller handle that is adapted to make removal of the end cap more efficient.

  • Publication number: 20190074670
Abstract: Methods of transforming a cable are disclosed herein, wherein the cable comprises an inner conductor and an insulator disposed around the inner conductor, and wherein some embodiments include heating the inner conductor to soften at least a portion of the insulator adjacent to the inner conductor, directing a fluid along the softened insulator and thereby creating a space between the inner conductor and the insulator along a length of the cable, injecting a lubricant into the space between the inner conductor and the insulator, and after creating the space between the inner conductor and the insulator, extracting the inner conductor from the cable.

  • Patent number: 7441367
Abstract: An autonomous robotic system and method for removing pests from a specific location. The robotic system of the invention preferably comprises a means for attracting pests to at least one specific location; and a robotic means for collecting and/or exterminating pests attracted to the specified location. In certain embodiments, the robotic means comprises a mobile robot and a means for navigating the robotic means. In operation, pests are attracted to at least one location by an attracting means, and these pests are then collected and/or exterminated by a mobile, autonomous robot of the invention.

  • Publication number: 20060291326
Abstract: A system for mixing the solid and liquid contents of a tank having an increased height using at least one flow generating device positioned proximate an outer wall of the tank and directed in a direction to discharge a flow having a rotational component and a generally upward component. A plurality of such flow generating devices may be positioned in one or more rings at various elevations within the tank. The flow generating devices are positioned such that resultant fluid flows within the tank contents include a flow in a generally rotational direction and a flow having components generally upward in the outer portion of the tank, inward in the upper portion of the tank, downward in the center portion of the tank, and outward in the lower portion of the tank.

  • Patent number: 4160374
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the diffusive resistance of plant stomata includes a cup adapted to be sealingly clamped to a plant leaf being tested to define an enclosed air volume in the cap adjacent the surface of the leaf. A humidity sensor in the cup provides a signal indicative of the humidity of the air in the cup. Control means are provided to receive the output signal from the humidity sensor and are operative to start a counter at a lower set humidity value and to stop the counter at an upper set humidity value thereby to time the rise in humidity between the lower and upper values. Drying means for drying the air within the cup down to a value below the lower set humidity value after each measurement cycle are provided. The control means are adjustable to vary the lower or upper set humidity value and to vary the difference between the lower and upper set humidity values.
