  • Patent number: 10179175
Abstract: Isatoic anhydride derivatives having an N-substituent which includes a quaternary ammonium group are useful for labeling and/or functionalizing a target material and/or for coupling materials together. The isatoic anhydride derivatives of the present disclosure can be advantageously water soluble, easily prepared and purified. Isatoic anhydride derivatives useful in the present disclosure preferably have at least one chemically reactive group or at least one binding group or at least one detectable label. Anthranilate derivatives made from the isatoic anhydrides derivatives or otherwise and kits including the isatoic anhydride derivatives are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10124393
Abstract: A can body take-away assembly for a can bodymaker with a vertically oriented, reciprocating, elongated ram assembly and a domer is provided. The take-away assembly includes a drive assembly and a can body transport assembly. The drive assembly includes a motor and a support member. The take-away assembly motor is operatively coupled to said support member and structured to move said drive assembly support member in a generally horizontal direction. The can body transport assembly includes a number of gripping assemblies. Each gripping assembly is coupled to said drive assembly support member. Each gripping assembly includes a number of pairs of opposed gripping members sized to grip a can body. The gripping assemblies are structured to travel across the path of said ram assembly and to selectively grip a can body.

  • Patent number: 9683809
Abstract: A holster apparatus securely holds a long gun on a MOLLE/PALS-compliant garment in a hands-free secure position, but so that the gun is quickly and easily accessible. The apparatus includes a holster with openings configured to slidingly engage an ammunition magazine attached to a long gun, with a bottom surface of the long gun supported on the holster. A mount securely holds the holster on a MOLLE/PALS-compliant garment in a selected balanced position with the long gun oriented generally horizontally, so that a professional can use their hands for tasks while having confidence in the security and safe-carrying of the long gun. The holster can be located anywhere on the garment, and can be oriented as desired by the professional user. Related methods are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9543127
Abstract: A method of coating spherical components with a coating process in which the spherical components have a surface area includes positioning the spherical components within a containment boundary on a moving member and positioning the moving member within a chamber. The method includes reducing the pressure within the chamber to less than one atmosphere. The method also includes revolving the moving member about a longitudinal axis. The method further includes oscillating the moving member in a direction of the longitudinal axis and commencing the coating process. The oscillating and revolving produce motion of the spherical components within the containment boundary such that an entirety of the surface area of each component is exposed to the coating process.

  • Patent number: 9203200
Abstract: A coupling (30) for the introduction of a bias voltage into a vacuum chamber. The coupling consists of a metallic ball bearing assembly (36), a bearing sleeve or cup (34), and an EMI shielding gasket (42) seated within the bearing sleeve or cup. The ball bearing assembly is fitted within the EMI shielding gasket, about a metallic shaft (32) which, in turn, is coupled to a source of the bias voltage. The bearing sleeve or cup is, in turn, coupled to a rotating component such as a platen, for receiving the bias voltage within the vacuum chamber.
