Abstract: A dispensing brush includes a replaceable reservoir cartridge and handle part having a reservoir chamber and a material advancing piston disposed therein. The replaceable cartridge and handle part is closed at one end by the piston and, possibly, by a dental floss dispenser having a mirror mounted on a cover therefor. The opposite end of the reservoir is closed by a transverse wall including a rupturable membrane seal. The membrane seal is scored or provided with a reduced wall thickness, cross shaped, frangible portion which is engageable with a projection formed on an adapter part of the brush head so that when the head is connected to the replaceable cartridge and handle part, the seal formed by the rupturable membrane is broken and material, such as toothpaste, may flow to the brush head without becoming contaminated.

Abstract: A dispensing toothbrush includes a toothpaste reservoir chamber formed in a handle having a paste advancing piston disposed therein. The handle may be closed at one end by a floss dispenser. The handle is connected to a brush head and adapter assembly which includes a manual actuator which is disposed for sliding movement in the adapter to displace a plunger which reduces the volume of a chamber in the plunger to discharge paste into a feed tube. The suction plunger may be biased by a spring or include an elastic memory sufficient to restore the plunger to its original position whereby paste is drawn from the paste reservoir into the plunger chamber. A rubber cover is disposed over the actuator and is also sealingly engageable with a removable, vented brush cover.

Abstract: A combination brush and cleaning agent is disclosed such as a combination toothbrush, toothpaste and floss dispenser. A soft bristle brush head, a usage paste reservoir and dental floss. The product is designed to use a replacement cartridge. The unit comes with a clear head cover that is vented to allow the brush to dry after use. An upper assembly that includes a clear head cover, brush head/neck, plunger button, suction plunger, spring, feed tube straw, ball check connect, and adapter, which can be threaded or a snap-lock. A lower assembly includes of an o-ring, clear paste reservoir handle, piston, stainless steel metal cleat, bottom cover, base cap with floss spool post and cutter. Depressing the plunger button depresses the suction plunger. This creates a suction which draws paste up from the paste reservoir past the ball check connect and into the feed tube straw which allows paste to be deposited onto the bristle brush head.
