  • Patent number: 7203719
Abstract: A method and system for measuring the size of a distributed system of interconnected servers. A weighted asymptotic function of the count of installed CPUs on each server is computed. A CPU factor is computed based on the server architecture and operating system. A second weighted asymptotic function of the amount of RAM installed on each server is computed. A normalizing factor representing a reference date, and a RAM factor based on server architecture is computed. The product of the two weighted factors is computed for each server, and the sum of the product for each interconnected server is computed. This sum indicates a normalized measure for the size of a server. Included in the computation are factors, such as “Server Image Power Raging” and Server Image Power class.

  • Publication number: 20050078692
Abstract: A method and system for analyzing a public switched communications network from a remote place via the public Internet. The system comprises an access device which collects data from one or more links in a public switched communications network. The system further includes a server computer which receives the collected data from the access device via a dedicated network or the Internet. The server computer executes one or more applications to perform protocol analysis based on the received data. A client computer executing a Web browser may be used to communicate with the server computer via the Internet and access the outcome of the protocol analysis.

  • Patent number: 5074793
Abstract: A mine effects simulator system for simulating the operation and encounter f land mines and their potential effects on an armored vehicle. The system utilizes an authentic land mine activation mechanism, radio transmitter and logic circuitry and provides a radio frequency signal when activated by the proximity of an armored vehicle. The armored vehicle has a receiver device which receives the signal to determine a "hit" or "kill" based upon the time of the mine detonation with respect to mine to vehicle position.
