Abstract: Disclosed herein are asphalt compositions containing a block-copolymer additive, for example for use as a dispersant. In some embodiments, the asphalt compositions can include asphalt, a block-copolymer dispersant, and an SBR latex. The block-copolymers have a molecular weight exceeding 5000 g/mol with a polybutyl acrylate hydrophobic block that attaches to the asphalt particle and a sodium polystyrene sulfonate hydrophilic block for stability, wherein the block copolymer has a first block comprising of alkyl acrylate and a second block comprising units of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer with sulfonic acid groups. The asphalt compositions can include asphalt in an amount of from 50 wt. % to 95 wt. %, based on the weight of the asphalt composition. In some embodiments, the asphalt compositions can include a styrene-butadiene copolymer in an amount of from 0.05 wt. % to 10 wt. %, based on the weight of the asphalt composition. Methods of making and using the asphalt compositions are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11572929
Abstract: A vibration isolator and method of assembly utilize “flex circuits” to provide both vibration/shock isolation and integrated electrically isolated conductive paths to support lightweight devices (<100 grams) such as crystal oscillators, IC chips, MEMs devices and the like. Each flex circuit includes a least one polymer layer and at least one of the flex circuits includes at least one patterned conductive layer. The isolator may be integrally formed from a stack of polymer layers and patterned conductive layers to provide the plurality of flex circuits, platform and connectors. Most typically, flex circuits are Type 4 in which the multiple polymer layers have a loose leaf or bonded configuration. Flex circuits are easy to produce in large quantities at low cost with standardized and repeatable performance characteristics.

  • Patent number: 11324107
Abstract: Electronic modules having complex contact structures may be formed by encapsulating panels containing pluralities of electronic modules delineated by cut lines and having conductive interconnects buried within the panel along the cut lines. Holes defining contact regions along the electronic module sidewall may be cut into the panel along the cut lines to expose the buried interconnects. The panel may be metallized, e.g. by a series or processes including plating, on selected surfaces including in the holes to form the contacts and other metal structures followed by cutting the panel along the cut lines to singulate the individual electronic models. The contacts may be located in a conductive grove providing a castellated module.

  • Publication number: 20210224899
Abstract: A financial analysis system retrieves data from a myriad of public and/or private data sources to develop a financial model that takes into account many life situations that an individual may experience. Together with detailed information regarding the individual such as age, race/ethnic background, marital status, occupation, family information, health data, career data, place of living/work, expected future expenditures, goals, lifestyles, etc. From these, the financial analysis system predicts future financial situations such as savings/assets, cash flow, etc., based upon the individual's data in view of the myriad of data sources that are available, providing a more accurate view of what the future financial situation shall be for that individual.
