  • Patent number: 5935909
Abstract: Tree seedlings, especially pine tree nursery seedlings, are treated, for example, by a root soak with a water-soluble, polyorganic acid, having a molecular weight size of more than 1,500 Daltons. Particularly suitable for this purpose are polyamino acids such as polyaspartic acid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 16, 1997
Date of Patent: August 10, 1999
    Assignee: Donlar Corporation
    Inventor: J. Larry Sanders
  • Patent number: 5861356
Abstract: This invention relates to enhancing plant productivity employing a method and improved compositions containing water-soluble crosslinked polyamino acids having a weight average molecular weight of a size larger than about 1,500. More particularly, crosslinked polyamino acids enhance plant productivity when supplied to the plant directly as the free acid or salt thereof or hydrolyzed from a crosslinked precursor of the crosslinked polyamino acid by the method disclosed. Particularly suitable for this purpose are water-soluble, crosslinked polyaspartic acid, and salts thereof and hydrolyzed crosslinked polysuccinimide.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 10, 1997
Date of Patent: January 19, 1999
    Assignee: Donlar Corporation
Inventors: Larry P. Koskan, Abdul Rehman Y. Meah, J. Larry Sanders, Robert J. Ross
  • Patent number: 5854177
Abstract: Plant productivity in a hydroponic medium is enhanced by the addition of a water-soluble, non-biodegradable, non-peptidal polymeric acid having a molecular size larger than about 1,500 Daltons.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 10, 1997

  • Patent number: 5709890
Abstract: An insecticide composition is enhanced from the standpoint of its ability to be absorbed by insects, such as red fire ants, particularly dithiophosphate ester pesticides by the addition of a small amount of a water soluble non-aromatic polyorganic acid or salt form thereof such as polyaspartic acid, particularly preferred with a molecular weight in the range of about 3000 to 40,000.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 20, 1997
Date of Patent: January 20, 1998
    Assignee: Donlar Corporation
