  • Publication number: 20110316268
Abstract: Collectable fingerprinted items and methods of making such fingerprinted items, including original and simulated fingerprints for application to an item to create a collectable item. The processes may be used to create a variety of collectable items, such as instrument picks, pendants, key fobs, charms, and other collectables. The process includes taking an original fingerprint impression, using the original impression to create a simulated fingerprint impression. The methods optionally include altering at least one identifying characteristic in a manner that prevents identity theft of other misuse of the fingerprint impression. The process optionally includes applying the simulated fingerprint impression to an item, such as by making a mold incorporating the simulated fingerprint, such as by using CAD/CAM technology and molding an item using the created mold.

  • Publication number: 20100112968
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cloning contents of a source radio (104) into a target radio (106) are disclosed. The method (300) includes determining (302) a configurable flash-code (210) of the source radio. The configurable flash-code (210) is configured from a first purchase flash-code that represents a first set of features employed by a user associated with the source radio. The method then includes receiving (304) a second purchase flash-code (212) from the target radio. The second purchase flash-code (212) represents a second set of features purchased in the target radio. The method further includes determining (306) whether the first set of features associated with the configurable flash-code (210) is at least a subset of the second set of features associated with the second purchase flash-code (212).

  • Patent number: 7705215
Abstract: This invention relates to a reproducible system for the production of stable, genetically transformed maize cells, and to methods of selecting cells that have been transformed. One method of selection disclosed employs the Streptomyces bar gene introduced by microprojectile bombardment into embryogenic maize cells which were grown in suspension cultures, followed by exposure to the herbicide bialaphos. The methods of achieving stable transformation disclosed herein include tissue culture methods and media, methods for the bombardment of recipient cells with the desired transforming DNA, and methods of growing fertile plants from the transformed cells. This invention also relates to the transformed cells and seeds and to the fertile plants grown from the transformed cells and to their pollen.

  • Publication number: 20100092233
Abstract: A conduit connector assembly for attachments on a loader includes a mounting plate with at least one coupler section mounted on the plate and secured rigidly to a forward end of one of the lift arms of a loader. The coupler section or sections are connected with conduits to power or electrical signal sources on the loader. The coupler section or sections on the lift arm are connectable to mating coupler sections attached to conduits from an attachment that requires power and/or control signals for operation. The coupler sections are supported to one side of the lines of vision that an operator in an operator's cab of the loader needs for watching the attachment.

  • Patent number: 7503668
Abstract: A flameless candle that releases a volatile active includes at least one LED positioned in a tip (106), a cartridge mount (128), and a support structure (102, 141). The at least one LED emits a flickering light that emulates a flame of a candle. The cartridge mount (128) receives and secures a replaceable cartridge (104a) containing a volatile active to be released into the atmosphere over time. The support structure (120, 141) supports the at least one LED and the cartridge mount (128). The support structure (120, 141) is configured to allow airflow across the replaceable cartridge (104a) when the replaceable cartridge (104a) is mounted in the cartridge mount (128).

  • Patent number: 7481609
Abstract: A method of reducing the effective width of cargo, such as a concrete double-tee. The method comprises positioning the arm in a first position in which the arm is substantially horizontal, the arm being pivotally biased toward the first position, lowering the double-tee onto the arm such that the first leg of the double-tee is received by the first bracket and the second leg of the double-tee is received by the second bracket, and pivoting the arm and double-tee to a second position in which the second end of the arm contacts the base to support the arm, the arm being biased toward the second position when the arm supports the double-tee. The concrete double-tee includes a deck, a first leg and a second leg. The support structure includes a base, a stanchion extending upwardly from the base, an arm pivotally connected to the stanchion and extending between a first and second end. The arm includes a first bracket disposed near the first end and a second bracket disposed near the second end.
