  • Publication number: 20150135250
Abstract: Preferred embodiments of the invention include methods and systems for color synchronizing streaming media. Preferred methods and devices for synchronizing colors across one or more viewing devices with various color characteristics are provided, including measuring the one or more viewing devices to determine the color characteristics of the viewing devices, and entering the color characteristics into a database, wherein the database includes records of the color characteristics of the viewing devices. Also is provided a database comprising values that are associated with viewing devices having color characteristics, wherein the values represent the color characteristics of the viewing devices.

  • Publication number: 20140368530
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for providing a selection of light conditions under which to view digitally depicted objects on a client device. For example, where website provides a digital color picture of an object, the invention provides selections on a display device to view the object in different simulated lighting conditions thereby enabling an object's color to be viewed as it will appear when illuminated under various light conditions. In accordance with embodiments of the invention disclosed herein, methods and systems are provided for an application on a user device that changes the color settings and/or white point settings of the user device's display, or portions of the user device's display, so that photographs of items may be presented on the user device's display as if the photographs were taken under various lighting conditions, such as sunlight, incandescent light, fluorescent light, candle light, and/or other light sources.

  • Publication number: 20140136964
Abstract: A system and method for synchronizing color on at least two devices. A Color Synchronizer color standard is established for applying to display devices, where the color standard causes the actual colors of items in images to be displayed on the display device. The color standard is loaded onto a client computing device for applying to a display. The color standard is used to calibrate the display device. Images in a Web page are prepared based on the color standard for sending to the client computer display. Images of the items are captured by a camera calibrated to the color standard. An identifying code, such as a QR code, is embedded into the Web page. An identifier read from the QR code is used to verify that the Web page is certified. If certified, apply the color standard to the calibrated client display to adjust the colors on the display.

  • Publication number: 20070245397
Abstract: A system and method for uploading firmware into television display is disclosed, in that it allows a user to upload firmware data to the user's television using conventional consumer technology, such as video media players with firmware encoded into a video format suitable for uploading firmware to the television through use of a conventional media player attached to the user's television display. Preferred embodiments of the system and method call for encoding firmware data into a format which is suitable for playback on a media player and communication to a television and the associated systems and methods in the television for decoding, processing and storing the new firmware data to the television set. Various embodiments of the invention disclose different methods of encoding and decoding, including, for example, image encoding, bar code encoding and Vertical Blanking Encoding methods for transmission of firmware data and decoding by the television.

  • Patent number: 4110918
Abstract: A biofeedback training system is provided in which portable, self-contained modular units may be used independently for relatively simple biofeedback training purposes by a layman or may be connected to a central processor adapted to provide more sophisticated processing of the signals monitored by the portable unit under supervision of a specialist. The system thus provides a partitioning of functions in which physiological signals are monitored and preprocessed in the portable unit, and when the portable unit is connected to the central processor, these preprocessed signals are then fed into the central processor where elaborate filtering, thresholding, converting and integrating functions take place in a biofeedback system. The central processor is capable of receiving inputs simultaneously from multiple portable units.

  • Patent number: 3942516
Abstract: A system and method are provided for use in training individuals in biofeedback techniques. A variety of physiological functions are monitored on separate channels and associated circuitry generates feedback signals for each function. The feedback signals from the various physiological functions preferably are combined in a matrix from which an output is generated only under predetermined conditions as when two or more of the monitored functions are within the parameters set for each separate function.
