  • Patent number: 8887401
Abstract: A rotating blade assembly provides a multiplicity of rotating blades for shaving. The rotating blades engage a surface, and create a multiplier effect for an enhanced shave. Multiple rotating blades minimize contact between each blade and the skin to extend the life of the blades, and also funnel hair and shaving cream away from the surface. A pair of gear assemblies inside the blade housing rotatably engages to provide smooth rotation for the blades. Openings in the blade housing create a space for the blades to extend out of, an opening for water to pass through during cleaning and usage, and an opening for the hair and shaving cream to pass through. A shaft locks the gear assembly to prevent rotation for more precise shaving of side burns, mustaches, and goatees. A hollow handle with an opening at the end allows residue to pass through during cleaning and usage.

  • Publication number: 20070256702
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for securing hair are disclosed. The apparatus may include a first arm, a second arm, a first locking member, and a second locking member interconnected to one another to form a space for receiving hair and to secure the hair within the space. The first locking member and the second locking member may be overlapped to close an opening and secure the hair within the space. A coating may be provided on one or more of the first arm, the second arm, the first locking member, and the second locking member. The coating may be a high friction material and may assist in retaining hair within the space and retaining the first locking member and the second locking member in an overlapped and locked position.

  • Publication number: 20070172081
Abstract: A method of optimizing the low frequency audio response emanating from a pair of low frequency transducers housed within a cabinet. The low frequency transducers are electrically connected to a power amplifier and source of audio content. The resonant frequency (Fs) and amplitude (Q) are characterized as to the high-pass pole of the low frequency transducers as they are mounted within the cabinet. An equalizer is placed between the amplifier and source of audio content for canceling the complex pole of the low frequency transducers and for establishing a new complex pole at a cut off frequency below which the sound generated by the low frequency transducers will diminish.

  • Publication number: 20070154038
Abstract: A transducer for the creation of acoustic energy omni directionally in a horizontal plane. The transducer includes a base plate, the base plate supporting a centrally located voice coil motor assembly and a hemi-toroidal diaphragm having a proximal edge and a distal edge. The proximal edge is appended to the centrally located voice coil motor assembly and the distal edge is appended to the base plate.

  • Publication number: 20070154044
Abstract: A loudspeaker system for the reproduction of acoustic waves of music, sound and speech in a substantially circular horizontal plane. The loudspeaker system includes multiple spherical enclosures, each enclosure housing a pair of transducers, each pair of transducers producing acoustic waves of a predetermined frequency range.

  • Publication number: 20060151237
Abstract: A speaker system which includes a housing and a linear array of a plurality of sound-generating transducers. A housing is in the form of a cylinder having a longitudinal axis and substantially circular cross-section. The linear array of sound-generating transducers are mounted upon a substantially planar chord configured within a sidewall of the cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20050025609
Abstract: A surface mount ring assembly for loudspeakers which comprises a ‘hard’ ring in which the speaker is secured. This hard ring is, in turn, secured to a resilient or ‘soft’ ring which soft ring is secured in the wall opening. The soft ring has a durometer of between 30 to 90 and a dynamic loss modulus of 1010 Dynes/cm2 at 100 to 1000 Hz. This effectively isolates the loudspeaker from the resonant frequency of the structure in which the speaker is secured.

  • Patent number: 5337100
Abstract: A camera quick release has a fastener axle that can be inserted into a fastener orifice in a fastener housing where a side-grip fastener lock is spring-pressured against a cylindrical wall of the fastener axle to hold the fastener axle circumferentially and linearly in a set position. The side-grip fastener lock is releasable by hand-squeezing a latch handle and a housing handle which combine to form a squeeze-handle. With the fastener lock released, the fastener axle attached to the camera or other instrument can be rotated as far or as little as desired to a different circumferential setting or it can be removed linearly for removal of the camera or other instrument. The fastener axle has a fastener bolt that is threadable into a camera-attachment bolt hole where it can be secured with a convenient thread-locking means.

  • Patent number: 5333023
Abstract: A camera quick release tripod fastener has a fastener housing (2) with a cylindrical stud bearing (10) into which a fastener stud (1) is positioned in rotational relationship to the fastener housing. The fastener stud has a circumferential attachment groove (6) between a rotational adjustment end (5) and a camera attachment end (4). An attachment lever (6) is attached pivotally to the fastener housing and positioned for pivotal entry into and exit from the circumferential attachment groove for respectively quick release containing and releasing of the fastener stud to which a camera is attachable at the camera attachment end. An adjustment end wall (7) of the circumferential attachment groove is beveled to provide an inclined conical slope against which the attachment lever is positioned snugly to tighten the rotational adjustment end of the fastener stud against an bottom wall (9) of the cylindrical stud bearing.
