  • Publication number: 20110068207
Abstract: A discharge end liner attachable to a discharge end wall in a grinding mill. The discharge end liner includes a number of pulp lifter elements mountable on the discharge end wall for at least partially defining a number of chambers rotatable in the predetermined direction respectively between a submerged condition and a raised condition. The discharge end liner also includes one or more grate subassemblies positionable on the pulp lifter elements, for at least partially screening the slurry. At least a part of each grate subassembly is located by an outer portion of the pulp lifter element in a predetermined position relative to the discharge end wall. An inner portion of each pulp lifter element defines an obtuse angle between the inner portion and the outer portion, for permitting the retained portion of the slurry to evacuate from each chamber respectively while each chamber is in the raised condition.

  • Publication number: 20110039759
Abstract: The invention is based on the finding that the secretin receptor is expressed in tissues present in the distal lung of humans. In patient with CF, levels of the receptor are elevated compared to the normal tissue. Treatment of tissue by secretin stimulates the movement of negative ions in the tissue. The invention provide method of treating cystic fibrosis or COPD in a patient by administering to said patient an effective amount of an agent which triggers anion efflux in respiratory tissue via the activation of the secretin receptor.
