Abstract: A distributed computer system including a story application for a mobile computing device enables presentation of media using multiple different real or virtual social media apps executed using the mobile computing device. Under control of a programmed story script, and in response to input signals to advance a media presentation, the story application selectively invokes a particular social media app, from among a plurality of different social media apps installed on the mobile device and instructs the particular social media app to present or play a particular story element of the media presentation. Successive story elements are presented serially in response to successive input signals, without interruption of other apps that may be running on the mobile device. In this manner, media presentations such as entertainment programs or stories may be presented using multiple different social media apps rather than via passive video playback.

Abstract: A distributed computer system including a story application for a mobile computing device enables generation, presentation, and sharing of media using the device. Under control of a programmed story script, the story application invokes a camera of the device for recording a clip during an iteration for a character in a story while presenting a story script in a teleprompter manner. A clip for each different character in the story may be received to be combined therewith and presented as a scene on mobile computing device for viewing. Another iteration for the character may be recorded, and a resulting new clip may be combined with the clips for the other characters, or with different clips for the other characters, to generate another scene for the story script. Media presentations of the same story include multiple scenes each having a different interpretation. Scenes and/or clips may be shared using different applications.

Abstract: A method and system for similarity matching are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises calculating a data point value by a server related to one or more of a client creating a data point, editing facts about the data point, providing an opinion about the data point, rating the data point, and rating the opinion about the data point. An opinion value is received from the client. A weighted value is calculated by the server from the data point value. A similarity score is computed between the client and a second client based upon the weighted value. A similarity network of clients for the client is determined based upon the similarity score. The similarity network of clients is filtered based upon tags provided to the client by the server.
