  • Publication number: 20230250222
Abstract: A compound of formula (I): MXy, alone or in combination with a compound of formula (II): MXzL, useful as a catalyst for accelerating the crosslinking of a reactive epoxy monomer, oligomer or polymer to form an epoxy thermoset resin, is provided. In formulas (I) and (II), M represents a rare earth metal cation, X represents an anion of formula R—Z—O?, wherein R represents a hydrocarbon radical optionally substituted with one or more halogen atom and —Z— represents —S(?O)2— or —O—S(?O)2—, z=y+1, and L represents Na+, H+, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20170050851
Abstract: There is provided a method for manufacturing carbon quantum dots. The method comprises the steps of a) providing a dispersion of self-assembled polymeric nanoparticles in a dispersion liquid. The nanoparticles comprise a copolymer, the copolymer comprising insoluble repeat units that are insoluble in the dispersion liquid and soluble repeat units that are soluble in the dispersion liquid. The nanoparticles have a core/shell structure in which a core is surrounded by a shell, the core being enriched in insoluble repeat units, and the shell being enriched in soluble repeat units. The method further comprises the step of b) carbonizing the core of the nanoparticles in the dispersion, thereby producing the desired carbon quantum dots.

  • Patent number: 7345121
Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical sector of the polymerisation of acrylic acid and its salts, more particularly in solution, more particularly by controlled radical method, the use of the corresponding organo-sulphurated transfer agents, the acrylic acid polymers thus obtained, having a very low polydispersity PD (or very low polymolecularity index IP, which is an equivalent term), and their applications in industry.

  • Publication number: 20060224095
Abstract: Provided herein is a novel composition useful in assembling carrier vesicles for delivery of a biologically active agent to an animal. The composition comprises an amphiphilic triblock copolymer comprised entirely of biocompatible, biodegradable, and/or enzymatically degradable polymers. The composition is characterized by the ability to self assemble into an aqueous vesicle, thereby encapsulating an agent for delivery to the animal. Also provided is a method for making a composition for delivery of an agent and a method for administering the agent to an animal.
