  • Publication number: 20080107350
Abstract: A method for production of an image recording and/or reproduction device, including an optical image recording and/or reproduction system, an image sensor and/or generator and/or a synchronization system, the image being processed for improvement by a digital image processor. According to the method, parameters of the optical system and/or the sensor and/or the image generator and/or the synchronization system are determined or selected using the capacity of the digital image processor. The production costs are thus minimized and/or the performance of the image recording and/or reproduction device is optimized.

  • Patent number: 7362351
Abstract: A method and system for detecting an object in a zone located proximate to an interface between two liquid and/or gaseous media having different refractive indices, for example of the air/water type. The method and system produce at least a video image of the interface and the zone and produces electric signals representing each video image. Then, the electric signals are digitized and the data is processed by discriminating the data corresponding to the video image of the real object from those corresponding to the apparent video image generated by the interface.

  • Patent number: 7302081
Abstract: A method for detecting new objects in a scene illuminated by lights not necessarily constrained. The method detects and produces, in particular with a video camera, in the form of electric signals, video images, at successive times, digitizes the resulting electric signals, and produces image digital data, in particular pixels, at successive times. Then, the image digitalis stored and the type of object, the trajectory, and attitude changes of the object are estimated.

  • Patent number: 7123746
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting an object (1) in relation to a surface (2). A synthetic image (3c, 4c) is produced from at least two distinct viewpoints (3, 4), for each of said viewpoints, by means of a geometrical transformation comprising at least one perspective projection (3a, 4a) of the object on the surface (2), each synthetic image being associated with the viewpoint concerned. By discriminating between the synthetic images, it is possible to detect the presence of and determine the position of the object (1) in relation to the surface (2), by searching for contrast inversions. The invention can be used for surveying a swimming pool.

  • Patent number: 6133838
Abstract: A system for monitoring a swimming pool to prevent drowning accidents includes sensing devices (D1, D2, D3) for providing electrical signals forming images of bodies immersed in the pool water. Appropriate hardware (10) digitizes the resulting images, and the digital image data is compressed and stored at a series of times. Digitized images of a single body are compared at a series of times. The nature of a body, the path of the body and changes in the position of the body are estimated on the basis of the series of images; and an alarm is activated should the path or movement of the body being observed give cause for concern.
