  • Patent number: 8870218
Abstract: The lining element (10) for a motor vehicle comprises a rigid support element (12) and a covering element (14) covering the support element (12), the covering element (14) comprising a skin (26) intended to be visible to an occupant of the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle, the support element (12) defining at least one opening (22) for the deployment of an airbag toward the outside of the lining element (10), a frame (16) being connected to the support element (12) and extending around the periphery of said opening (22), the frame (16) carrying a continuous rib (34) extending from the frame (16) into the covering element (14), along at least a part of the periphery of the opening (22). The rib (34) is connected to the frame (16) by a weakening line (50) enabling the deformation of the rib (34) with respect to the frame (16) in the event of an impact against the lining element (10).

  • Patent number: 8177255
Abstract: This device includes a flexible net (26), a first end portion (28) of which is overmolded by the flap (20) and a second portion (30) is overmolded by a support element (24), the central portion extending between the first and second portions (28, 30) forming a flexible hinge (22) for articulating the flap (20) relative to the support element (24). The second portion (30) includes an end part (32) protruding from the support element (24) on the opposite side to the hinge-forming part (22), the end part (32) including a stop element, such that, when the airbag is deployed, the stop element prevents the second part (32) from being pulled out of the support element (24).

  • Patent number: 7655578
Abstract: Under consideration here is a method for the production of periodic nanostructuring on one of the surfaces of a substrate (10), presenting a periodic network of dislocations, embedded within a crystalline area (4) located in the neighborhood of an interface (5) between the crystalline material surfaces of two components (1, 2) assembled by bonding to form the substrate (10). It comprises the following steps: formation, in the dislocations (3), of implants (6) made of a material other than that of the crystalline area (4); irradiation of the substrate (10) with electromagnetic waves (11) in order to cause absorption of electromagnetic energy localized in the implants (6), this absorption leading to the appearance of the periodic nanostructuring (12) on the surface of the substrate (10).
