  • Publication number: 20230158471
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plant for oligomerizing ethylene to produce oligomerized alpha-olefins, with production of a fouling by-product in the form of a deposit, said plant comprising a reaction section comprising: —a reactor (c) for two-phase gas/liquid or single-phase all-liquid oligomerization proceeding from an optional solvent, an oligomerization catalyst and ethylene, and —cooling means associated with said reactor in the form of at least one cooling circuit external to the reactor and/or in the form of a jacket of the walls of the reactor. Packings are disposed in the reaction section in order to increase the contact surface area per unit volume that is accessible to the deposition of the byproduct.

  • Publication number: 20190338202
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and to a device for the separation of a feedstock comprising benzene, toluene and C8+ compounds, in which: a toluene column (C10) is fed directly with a C7+ cut resulting from the bottom of a stabilization column (C11) positioned downstream of a transalkylation unit (P4); a C7? cut is withdrawn at the top of the toluene column (C10) and a C8+ cut is withdrawn at the bottom; a benzene column (C9) is fed with the C7? cut resulting from the toluene column (C10); an essentially aromatic cut resulting from an aromatics extraction unit (P1) is injected into the toluene column (C10) separately above the feeding of the C7+ cut or into the benzene column (C9).

  • Publication number: 20190338196
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and a device for separating a feedstock comprising benzene, toluene and C8+ compounds, by means of at least one “reformate” distillation column (C1), one aromatics extraction unit (P1), one para-xylene separation unit (P2), one xylene isomerization unit (P3) and one transalkylation unit (P4), the effluents of said units being separated in the following distillation columns: purification column (C6), deheptanizer (C7) and toluene column (C10), in which at least one of said distillation columns is suitable for being operated under vacuum so that: the majority of the C7? compounds are recovered in the product at the top of the distillation column operated under vacuum, and the majority of the C8+ compounds are recovered in the product at the bottom of the distillation column operated under vacuum.
