  • Publication number: 20240008899
Abstract: The invention relates to a handheld gynecological device for cervix handling, comprising a body member defining a vacuum chamber, a piston member at least partially received in the vacuum chamber with a portion of the piston member being displaceable in the vacuum chamber from a first position to a second position for creating a vacuum in the vacuum chamber. The device further comprises an actuating member, a rod member defining a lumen and a suction head. The position of the rod member along the longitudinal axis of the body member is fixed relative to the body member when the rod member is coupled to the body member. The actuating member is coupled to the body member and/or the rod member and configured to be switched from a disconnected position, in which the vacuum chamber of the body member is fluidly disconnected from the lumen of the rod member, to a connected position, in which the vacuum chamber of the body member is fluidly connected to the lumen of the rod member.
