Publication number: 20250092754Abstract: An apparatus for containing pressure associated with a well includes a ram fluid chamber, a ram piston, and an intensifier piston within a housing. The ram piston has ends associated with a ram and with the ram fluid chamber. The intensifier piston has ends associated with the ram fluid chamber and a fluid source. The end of the intensifier piston associated with the fluid source has a larger surface area than the end associated with the ram fluid chamber. Fluid from the fluid source applies a first pressure to the second end of the intensifier piston to move the intensifier piston. Movement of the intensifier piston applies a second pressure greater than the first pressure to fluid in the ram fluid chamber to move the ram piston and associated ram toward a closed position.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 25, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventors: Herbert J. Read, Mark F. Alley

Publication number: 20240406732Abstract: A method and system for wirelessly tracking power tools and related devices to aid with inventory management and to help minimize, prevent, and recover misplaced or stolen tools throughout the job site. The tools and/or batteries include wireless transmitting capabilities (e.g., an ISM unit) to transmit data to a fob, puck repeater, and/or gateway over an ISM network. The gateway is operable to translate and output the ISM communications over a cellular network to a remote monitoring unit, such as a personal computer or smart phone. Additionally, the gateway is further operable to translate and output cellular communications from the remote monitoring unit to ISM communications over the ISM network. A wireless tethering system and method is also disclosed whereby an ISM battery places a power tool in a lock-out or limp mode after the ISM battery remains outside of ISM communications for a prolonged period of time.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2024Publication date: December 5, 2024Inventors: Jeffrey M. Zeiler, Leslie J. Reading

Patent number: 12085355Abstract: A crossbow is provided with a reciprocating linear rack and a locking linear rack, wherein a traveler having a pawl for each linear rack is engaged by the reciprocating linear rack to move rearward relative to the locking rack, thereby moving the traveler to a drawn position. A cocking lever is hand operated by the user though a plurality of cycles to move the traveler, and captured bowstring to a fully drawn configuration. A trigger mechanism engage the traveler in the drawn configuration and selectively releases the bowstring from the traveler. A bow assembly is provided, wherein the bowstring wraps about a front edge of opposing rotatable members, to be longitudinally located in front of a portion of power cables. The bow assembly includes a power cable on each side of the stock, and thus the power cables do not cross a longitudinal axis of the crossbow.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2023Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: Crist Reed Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey A.
