  • Patent number: 11678792
Abstract: The present application is directed to an endoscopic device, including at least one flexible endo scope shaft and at least one kink protector, which is associated with the endoscope shaft and includes at least one base body that has a conical and/or cylindrical design, at least in sections, and that has a main extension direction and a main extension along the main extension direction, and the kink protector includes at least one quick-release coupling, which is configured for a selective connection to a tube and includes at least one fin situated at least substantially perpendicularly on the base body. It is provided that the fin has an extension extending along the main extension direction of the base body at least across 50% of the main extension of the base body.

  • Patent number: 11471036
Abstract: A laryngoscope blade (30) includes a blade proximal end (32), to be articulated to a handle (20), a blade distal end (38), a patient tongue side (34), a patient palate side (36), a plurality of adjacent rigid elements (40, 50, 60, 70) extending from the tongue side to the palate side, a plurality of joints (46, 56, 66) articulately connecting two of the adjacent rigid elements, and a force-transmitting mechanism (80), with a proximal end (82) and a distal end (87). The force-transmitting mechanism distal end is mechanically connected to the blade distal end. The force-transmitting mechanism is movable relative to the rigid elements in a longitudinal direction. The force-transmitting mechanism proximal end is mechanically couplable to the handle such that, by pivoting of the handle relative to the blade proximal end, the force-transmitting mechanism is moved relative to the blade proximal end.

  • Patent number: 11350812
Abstract: The invention relates to an endoscope shaft 1 having a layered structure. In this shaft 1, formed as a curved or non-curved hollow cylinder, various layers succeed and enclose one another radially over the entire length or a substantial part of the length of the shaft. The shaft has an inner layer 2 of plastic, and an outer layer 3 of plastic enclosing the inner layer 2, and a structuring layer 4 in the transition region 5 of the inner layer and the outer layer 3. The plastics of the inner layer and of the outer layer 3 are different, and the inner layer and the outer layer 3 mesh together in the transition region 5. Thus, the inner layer and the outer layer 3 can connect to each other particularly well, and a delamination of the inner layer and of the outer layer 3 can thus be prevented. This is specifically because the interface between the inner layer and the outer layer 3 is enlarged, in relation to the prior art, by the mutual meshing 6.

  • Patent number: 11173241
Abstract: A medical instrument including a first fluid line having an end with an edge, a second fluid line, and a cavity in which the end of the first fluid line is arranged, and which is connected to the second fluid line. A wall region of the cavity is designed to be flexibly movable. In a first configuration, the flexibly movable wall region bears on the edge of the end of the first fluid line and thus closes the end of the first fluid line. In a second configuration, the flexibly movable wall region does not bear, or bears only partially, on the edge of the end of the first fluid line, such that the first fluid line and the second fluid line are fluidically connected.

  • Patent number: 10368730
Abstract: A laryngoscope with a handle, at the distal end of which a blade is arranged at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the handle, wherein a channel for receiving an image carrier of a video endoscope is formed in the handle and in the blade such that the channel, in a transition area from the handle to the blade, merges in a radius from the handle into the blade. In order to provide a laryngoscope which, while being easy to handle, ensures insertion of the image carrier into the channel in a way that protects material, in the transition area from the handle into the blade, at least one run-on bevel is formed in the interior of the channel.
