Patent number: 10020762Abstract: A method operates a brushed commutator motor of an adjusting drive in a motor vehicle, particularly a window lifter, having a rotor and having a stator. An angular position of the rotor with respect to the stator is determined. The angular position is used to determine a ripple within the torque, which ripple can be expected on the basis of the commutation. The motor current is adapted such that the amplitude of the ripple that can be expected remains below a determined limit value.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2016Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft, BambergInventors: Marcus Scholz, Joerg Uebelein, Christian Thomann, Thomas Weingaertner

Patent number: 6877348Abstract: The invention relates to a closing device for a vehicle comprising a lock, a drive for determining the locking state of the locking device, by means of which the locking device may be placed in at least four different locking states and a rotating shaped disc on the drive, which may be rotated by the drive to determine the individual locking states, whereby the individual locking states are each assigned a particular angular position for the shaped disc. According to the invention, the shaped disc (1) is of such a form that said disc may be taken from each angular position, corresponding to one of the various states (V, K, S) and different to the unlocked state (E), without a third locking state occurring on performing the above.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2001Date of Patent: April 12, 2005Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6705665Abstract: An electromotively activated locking system for a motor vehicle door includes an outer door opener, at least one inner door opener, a lock mechanism that can be regulated by a motor drive and an element separating the wet and dry areas. The lock parts of the primary lock mechanism (3) are located in the damp area. An electrical device for determining the locking state of the primary and secondary lock mechanisms (3, 5) and the motor drive (2) are located in the dry area. For controlling the locking system, a logic alignment is carried out between the locking states of the primary locking mechanism and the locking states of the secondary locking mechanism and certain lock functions are then released or blocked for control in dependence on this logic alignment.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2002Date of Patent: March 16, 2004Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6472836Abstract: A method and apparatus for electrically controlling and regulating the movement of an electrically operated aggregate of a motor vehicle, such as a window lifter or sliding roof. A correlation variable for the adjustment force of the aggregate is measured for the purpose of anti-jamming protection. An adjusting movement is switched off or reversed if the adjustment force exceeds a limit value which corresponds to the maximum permissible jamming force. The sensitivity of the anti-jamming system is automatically raised when the motor vehicle is at a standstill. A rough road filter is preferably deactivated so that in the event of jamming, an adjusting movement is switched off or reversed without any time delay. The highest possible level of safety is provided using anti-jamming protection when the vehicle is at a standstill.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2001Date of Patent: October 29, 2002Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co., KG, CoburgInventors: Joerg Uebelein, Stefan Richter, Henning Moench

Patent number: 6236176Abstract: There is a method for controlling the movement of electrically operated assemblies, more particularly of window lifters, sliding roofs or the like in motor vehicles. The assembly has a setting device is connected to a drive device. At least in one partial area of the displacement path, the displacement force is restricted to a predetermined maximum value. A parameter is proportional to the displacement force of the electrically operated assembly. Upon reaching a boundary value corresponding to the maximum value of the displacement force over a predetermined time span, the parameter is regulated to a value corresponding to this boundary value.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1999Date of Patent: May 22, 2001Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG, CoburgInventors: Jörg Uebelein, Roland Kalb, Jürgen Seeberger

Patent number: 6208101Abstract: A method for restricting the surplus force of an electrically controlled assembly operated by a foreign force, which can be used with particular advantage in connection with window lifters which are fitted with an anti-jam detection device. The method is characterized by a high automatic adaptation to the markedly fluctuating external conditions to which a window lifter is subjected, and by the compensation of system-conditioned fluctuations. The position of the assembly is continuously determined during the displacement process and at least one measured value correlated with the displacement force of the assembly is recorded in the inlet area of the stop position. This measured value is increased through the electronics unit by a predetermined amount and defined as a switch-off criterion so that the drive is switched off when this criterion is exceeded or understepped.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 1999Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co.
