  • Patent number: 8550348
Abstract: An optoelectronic device for detecting marks with defined contrast patterns includes a transmitter to emit polarized light beams, a receiver to receive light beams and having an output to produce receiving signals representing the received light beams, and a an evaluation unit to which the receiving signals are fed and in which the contrast pattern of a mark is detected with the aid of the receiving signals present at the receiver output. A thin-film polarization filter is arranged in front of the receiver to filter out a share of the received light beams specular reflected back by the mark.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 13, 2011
Date of Patent: October 8, 2013
Assignee: Leuze Electronic GmbH + Co. KG
    Inventor: Joerg Droemer
  • Patent number: 8288706
Abstract: The invention relates to an optical sensor for the detection of objects in a detection range, comprising a transmitter emitting transmitting light beams, a receiver that receives receiving light beams, and an evaluation unit, in which an object determination signal is generated by the evaluation of the receiving signals of the receiver. An optical element, having at least one boundary surface in the form of a free-form surface, is associated with the transmitter and/or the receiver for forming the beams of the transmitting light beams and/or the receiving light beams.

  • Patent number: 6854649
Abstract: An optoelectronic device for detecting marks having defined contrast patterns includes a transmitter for emitting transmitted light beams having a wavelength ? in a range of 350 nm ???450 nm. A transmission lens is located downstream of the transmitter. A receiver is provided for receiving received light beams and generating reception signals corresponding to the received light beams. A receiving lens is located upstream of the receiver and has an area AC of less than or equal to 5 cm2. A guiding mechanism guides the transmitted light beams at the marks and the reflected light beams from the marks as received light beams to the receiver. An evaluation unit is coupled to an output of the receiver for evaluating the reception signals.

  • Patent number: 6501538
Abstract: A rangefinder apparatus with an optoelectronic arrangement for determining a height profile of an object. The apparatus has a transmitter that emits light rays, a deflection unit that deflects the transmitted light rays and guides them over the surface of an object to be measured, and a receiver that receives light rays reflected from the object. The deflection unit includes a transmitting optic arranged downstream of the transmitter and an actuator which moves the transmitting optic to periodically deflect the transmitted light. A receiving optic is arranged in front of the receiver at a distance from the transmitting optic so that the beam axis of the transmitting light rays penetrates the transmitting optic and the beam axis of the received light rays that penetrate the receiving optic extend at a distance to each other.
