  • Patent number: 11833315
Abstract: A safety device for injection devices is described. The safety device includes a sleeve extending along a longitudinal axis of the injection device's body, at least partially enclosing the injection device's needle and body, and including a guide slot; a collar attached to a distal end region of the body and locking the safety device in an axial direction; and a cap that can be arranged at least in part over the sleeve to prevent the body from moving relative to the sleeve. The cap includes a receptacle for the needle. The collar includes a guide pin that engages the guide slot. The collar can be arranged to rotate relative to the sleeve, and the receptacle of the cap can engage the collar and prevent the collar from rotating. The sleeve and the collar can each include a lock.

  • Patent number: 10335552
Abstract: The invention relates to a piercing means protective device for a syringe having a syringe body and a piercing means arranged at the distal end of the syringe body, comprising a dimensionally stable sleeve element, which extends along an axial direction and at least partially encloses an inner element extending along an axial direction, wherein the inner element consists of a resilient material and at least partially encloses the piercing means. The piercing means protective device is characterized in that a connection element connected to the sleeve element has at least one projection extending in an axial direction, which projection is received at least in portions in a recess of the inner element, so that a connection with a force fit and/or an interlocking fit exists between the sleeve element and the inner element.

  • Publication number: 20130289753
Abstract: A method for operating a domestic appliance to reduce consumption of one or more operating resources includes receiving data about a temporal cost profile of the operating resources, having a first time interval with low costs and a second time interval with high costs, comparing a operating time period with the first time interval and determining a point in time for starting operation as a function of a result of the comparison, when the operating time period is longer than the first time interval, determining a temporal program segment with a higher consumption than other program segments based on a temporal consumption profile that describes consumption as a function of time during operation, and determining the point in time for starting the operation such that the program segment with the higher consumption falls within the first time interval.

  • Patent number: 7791356
Abstract: A capacitive proximity switch has an electrically conductive sensor surface, which is covered by an electrically non-conductive covering plate and which serves as a part of a capacitor with a capacitance that varies with proximity. The proximity switch includes a reference sensor surface for generating a reference signal for determining an actuation state of the proximity switch. Signal portions of the reference signal are proportional to the capacitance of a reference capacitor formed with the reference sensor surface, and the capacitance of the reference capacitor is determined by surrounding conditions of the sensor surface.

  • Patent number: 7777502
Abstract: A capacitive proximity switch has an electrically conductive sensor surface, which is covered by an electrically non-conductive covering plate and which serves as a part of a capacitor with a capacitance that varies with proximity. A household appliance is equipped with a proximity switch of this type. The sensor surface has an active shielding, which is formed by a shielding surface to which a clock signal is applied at the same time as it is applied to the sensor surface.

  • Publication number: 20090211576
Abstract: Modifications of an inhaler and method of use thereof are described. In some embodiments, an inhaler may include one or more systems and/or methods that function to inhibit a child from accessing medicant from an inhaler. A system may function to inhibit a child from accessing an opening of an inhaler from which medicants are dispensed. In some embodiments, a system may inhibit a child from removing a cap for an inhaler. A system may function to inhibit a child from actuating an activation mechanism for an inhaler. A system may function to inhibit a user and/or a child from accidentally actuating an activation mechanism for an inhaler multiple times possibly resulting in an overdose. A system may function to inhibit an activation mechanism for an inhaler from actuating after the activation mechanism has been actuated a predetermined number of times. An inhaler may include a security fitting which functions to permanently plug an inhaler once a prescribed user is finished with the inhaler.
