Patent number: 12161845Abstract: Dosing device for an administration device with a limiting mechanism containing: a dosing sleeve with a first stop and a stop wheel with a second stop means adapted to continually and proportionally follow a movement of the dosing sleeve during dosing movements. During an ejection movement, there is no relative movement between dosing sleeve and stop wheel. The first stop and the second stop each describe a path curve by their movements such that the two path curves intersect in one point and the stops contact one another and tilt the stop wheel, thereby blocking the dosing movement of the dosing sleeve. The stop wheel comprises first and third sloped surfaces that may form first and second gear guidances with a clutch thereby returning the stop wheel to a non-tilted position during up or down dosing movements when the stops do not contact another.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2021Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Ypsomed AGInventors: Simon Scheurer, Jürg Hirschel, Andres Mellenberger, Christian Schrul

Publication number: 20240366881Abstract: An autoinjector comprises a housing, a product container, a displaceable needle protection sleeve, a plunger rod displaceable by a preloaded discharge spring, a dose setting element with at least two different rotational positions relative to the housing, and a dosing sleeve. The dosing sleeve or the plunger rod has a dose selection stop, and the other has at least one dosing stop. By rotating the dose setting element, the dosing sleeve or the plunger rod is rotated relative to the other. Upon displacement of the needle protection sleeve, the spring displaces the plunger rod, whereby, if the dose setting element is in the first rotational position, the dose selection stop and the first dosing stop strikes against each other, and, if the dose setting element is in the second rotational position, one of the dose selection stop and the first dosing stop is or can be moved past the other.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2024Publication date: November 7, 2024Inventors: Markus Tschirren, Christian Schrul, Jürg Hirschel

Publication number: 20240245868Abstract: An autoinjector having a housing, a product container axially fixed in the housing, a torsion spring, a drive element, a propulsion member, and a needle protection sleeve which, when the autoinjector is pressed against a point of injection, carries out an actuation movement in the proximal direction. The autoinjector includes a display for signaling the progression or persistence of a discharge, with a display element, which is driven by the drive element, rotates about the longitudinal axis and has an optical contrast pattern, and a transparent window at the proximal end of the autoinjector, through which the rotating contrast pattern is visible. The window is completely circumferential by 360° about the longitudinal axis, i.e., is not interrupted by a frame or web parallel to the longitudinal axis, which otherwise creates a dead angle for the view on the display element.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2024Publication date: July 25, 2024Inventors: Gabriel Kalbermatter, Jürg Hirschel, Nicolas Gruenig

Publication number: 20230218827Abstract: An autoinjector having a housing for receiving a product container, a propelling member, a drive for automatically discharging a liquid product, a needle-guard spring for pretensioning a needle-guard sleeve, a grid with a multiplicity of latch elements arranged along the longitudinal direction, and an engagement element which, by engagement in the grid, blocks a discharging movement of the propelling member. A control element of the autoinjector interacts with the engagement element via a control cam such that, when the control element moves in the distal direction by the needle-guard spring, the engagement element is brought into engagement with the grid. Since the force of the needle-guard spring is used for the engagement, the engagement element can be mounted without specific elastic force acting in an engagement direction, and can also be mounted in an articulated manner and/or in a manner limited to pure guidance in the engagement direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2023Publication date: July 13, 2023Inventors: Simon Scheurer, Markus Tschirren, Leos Urbanek, Gabriel Kalbermatter, Boris Budesa, Jürg Hirschel, Nicolas Grünig
