  • Patent number: 11944789
Abstract: An autoinjector for dispensing a liquid product includes a housing; a product container arranged in the housing, particularly, a syringe comprising a displaceable piston; a drive member; a first spring which acts on the drive member and the piston to dispense the product from the container; signal element releasably axially coupled with the drive member so that the signal element is transported in the dispensing direction as the drive member is displaced; and a second spring, which exerts a spring force on the signal element against the dispensing direction and is tensioned as the signal element is transported in the dispensing direction. When the signal element is released or detached from the axial coupling, the second spring causes the signal element to accelerate opposite the dispensing direction and strike against a signal stop and generate an acoustic and/or tactile signal.

  • Publication number: 20230218827
Abstract: An autoinjector having a housing for receiving a product container, a propelling member, a drive for automatically discharging a liquid product, a needle-guard spring for pretensioning a needle-guard sleeve, a grid with a multiplicity of latch elements arranged along the longitudinal direction, and an engagement element which, by engagement in the grid, blocks a discharging movement of the propelling member. A control element of the autoinjector interacts with the engagement element via a control cam such that, when the control element moves in the distal direction by the needle-guard spring, the engagement element is brought into engagement with the grid. Since the force of the needle-guard spring is used for the engagement, the engagement element can be mounted without specific elastic force acting in an engagement direction, and can also be mounted in an articulated manner and/or in a manner limited to pure guidance in the engagement direction.

  • Publication number: 20220226582
Abstract: An autoinjector comprises a housing, a product container, a displaceable needle protection sleeve, a plunger rod displaceable by a preloaded discharge spring, a dose setting element with at least two different rotational positions relative to the housing, and a dosing sleeve. The dosing sleeve or the plunger rod has a dose selection stop, and the other has at least one dosing stop. By rotating the dose setting element, the dosing sleeve or the plunger rod is rotated relative to the other. Upon displacement of the needle protection sleeve, the spring displaces the plunger rod, whereby, if the dose setting element is in the first rotational position, the dose selection stop and the first dosing stop strikes against each other, and, if the dose setting element is in the second rotational position, one of the dose selection stop and the first dosing stop is or can be moved past the other.

  • Patent number: 11253653
Abstract: A segmented piston rod for an injection device includes multiple segments joined together via a hinge located on one side of each segment. The piston rod can be bent in one direction by articulating subsequent hinges while an axial force can be transmitted by the segmented piston rod to the stopper when the subsequent hinges are closed and the segments abut each other opposite to the one side of the hinge. The segmented piston rod is secured against rotation relative to the housing around the longitudinal axis of the segmented piston rod. The segmented piston rod has a last element which abuts the stopper in the reservoir and a first segment which is opposite to the last segment. The first segment is includes an internal thread matching an external thread of a drive sleeve and rotation of the drive sleeve advances the piston rod towards the stopper of the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20220047817
Abstract: An injection device for dispensing a dose of a product by manually advancing a piston rod includes a dosing and dispensing mechanism having a housing with a longitudinal axis, a dosing sleeve mounted in the housing for adjusting and correcting the dose, a housing insert fixed to the housing and arranged inside the dosing sleeve, and a coupling sleeve mounted in the housing for driving the piston rod. For setting and correcting a dose, the dosing sleeve is rotatable relative to the coupling sleeve, and for dispensing the dose, the dosing sleeve can be coupled to the coupling sleeve in a rotationally fixed manner. In this case, the coupling sleeve has a locking element which can interact with the housing insert so that the coupling sleeve can be rotated in a first direction of rotation and cannot be rotated in a second direction of rotation relative to the housing insert.
