  • Patent number: 8148430
Abstract: The present invention focuses on a process for the hydrogenation of aromatic or heteroaromatic compounds and in particular on the ring hydrogenation of compounds having the formula (I). Aromatic amino acids and amino alcohols can be successfully ring-hydrogenated using a platinum-rhodium mixed catalyst. The products can be used inter alia as mimetics in bioactive peptide active ingredients.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 3, 2012
    Assignee: Evonik Degussa GmbH
Inventors: Rolf Hartung, Franz Hitzel-Zerrahn, Thomas Müller, Jörg Pietsch
  • Publication number: 20110171120
Abstract: Process for preparing an aqueous dispersion which has a pH of 9 to 14 and comprises particles of a pyrogenic titanium-silicon mixed oxide powder having a proportion of silicon dioxide of 75 to 99.99% by weight and of titanium dioxide of 0.01 to 25% by weight, whose mean aggregate diameter in the dispersion is not more than 200 nm, and at least one basic, quaternary ammonium compound.

  • Patent number: 7102045
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for carrying out CC-coupling reactions, in particular a Heck and Suzuki reaction, in the presence of supported palladium as the catalyst and a base in a monophase or multiphase solvent mixture. According to said method, palladium detaches itself from the support in a characteristic manner, is redeposited after the reaction and the quantity of palladium not deposited after the reaction is significantly lower than 5000 ppm, in relation to the palladium used.
